Pro-grade audio is easier to achieve with Mackie’s new DRM Series powered speakers. The DRM Series brings class-leading performance and features to both mobile and installed applications. The DRM Series features Class-D output, intelligent DSP technology and rugged cabinets. DRM active loudspeakers promise to deliver sound normally associated with huge touring PA systems. Professional DJs, live bands and other musicians will all benefit from the DRM Series.
Mackie’s DRM Series is made up of the DRM212, DRM215, DRM315 and DRM12A full-range speakers. Both the DRM212 and DRM12A have 12” woofers, while the DRM215 and DRM315 are equipped with 15” woofers for stronger bass. In addition to a 15” low-frequency driver, the DRM 3-way model has a 6.5” midrange driver. The DRM18S powered subwoofer is designed to complete your DRM Series PA system with a thunderous 2,000W of bass. Its 18” high-excursion driver gives it a frequency response down to 30Hz.
Versatile mounting options
From small coffeehouses to concert venues, the DRM Series has a solution. Each full-range speaker in the lineup has a pole cup for mounting onto a stand. Along with the DRM18S powered subwoofer, the DRM12A 2-way loudspeaker can also be flown in a line array with multiple speakers.
Onboard Class-D amplification
Efficient Class-D amplifiers drive the DRM Series speakers. The portable DRM212 12” full-range active speaker packs 800W RMS/1,600W peak output, and the 3-way DRM315 cranks out 1,150W RMS/2,300W peak power. But the secret ingredient to the Mackie DRM Series’ formula for success is its signal processing.
Built-in Advanced Impulse DSP
Mackie employs Advanced Impulse DSP with FIR filtering technology to produce the cleanest signal possible. The result is powerful, tight and punchy sound you’d expect to hear from a much larger PA system. Advanced Impulse DSP means the DRM Series produces SPLs ranging from 134–137 dB while maintaining clarity across the frequency spectrum.
User-friendly DRM Control Dashboard with full-color screen
Spend less time setting up the DRM Series thanks to the DRM Control Dashboard. Each powered speaker in the lineup features a full-color display with a single control knob. This user-friendly interface makes it simple to navigate and change settings. There’s even a way to change the screen’s brightness and contrast, and activate a screensaver.
With DRM Control Dashboard, Mackie gives you control over more performance parameters than competing loudspeakers. Select from five distinct voicing modes to reduce setup time. Choose from Live, Monitor, Club and Speech along with an independent Sub option featuring adjustable crossover. Access the onboard 3-band parametric EQ to fine-tune your sound. The default screen’s signal level meters let you keep tabs on clipping. Save and recall up to six user presets for quicker setup at venues you visit often.
Tour-grade plywood cabinet construction
The Mackie DRM Series is built tough to withstand professional use. Each speaker features rugged plywood cabinet construction and internal bracing. Wooden enclosures are robust and offer great acoustics. Every DRM model has a texture-coated exterior for added protection against scratches and dents. Heavy-duty steel grilles with powder coating protect the custom-designed drivers of every DRM Series speaker.
