“Here in Southern California, especially on Sunset Boulevard here, you have studios, you have historic venues, you have places like Laurel Canyon, where a bunch of the songwriters were hanging out. And when you put all those factors right on top of each other, there's a creative outcome for that.

“Last fall, in celebration of our 50th anniversary, we held a really wonderful event here. It was a great experience with some artists and a lot of the local musicians, local recreational players, all the way to pros. And the music world, especially in a place like this, is so fascinating because it's completely integrated.”

Powers went on to explain how the Sunset Blvd Collection came to be:

“When we went to put together this collection of guitars, one of the things that was first and foremost is I want them to provide great value to musicians.
