PreSonus Monitor Station V2 Desktop Studio Control Center

Description
PreSonus has introduced the Monitor Station V2, a desktop control hub that puts you in complete command of your studio monitoring setup. The Monitor Station V2 provides intuitive management of multiple audio sources and speaker sets so you can instantly audition various mixes or check how your tracks translate across different systems.
Manage Multiple Sources and Monitor Sets
Easily switch between two balanced 1⁄4" TRS inputs, an S/PDIF digital input and an aux input via unbalanced RCA and 1/8" TRS connectors. Each input can be routed to the main and cue outputs, which feed three selectable monitor pairs. Level match your monitors by setting the output level of each pair individually.
Give Musicians Their Own Mix
The Monitor Station V2 provides four headphone amplifiers, each with its own level control and source selector. Send the main mix to control room monitors while routing a click track to the drummer, a vocal cue to the singer and a guitar cue to the guitarist. Talk to the whole band through the built-in talkback mic.
Manage with Precision and Ease
Bright 8-segment LED meters provide precise level monitoring and can be calibrated to show +4dBu, +10dBu or +18dBu. A large master level knob gives you smooth control of monitor volume. Engauge the mono switch to check for phase issues or use the dim switch to temporarily reduce monitor level by up to 24dB. Mute your monitors with the touch of a button. An intuitive layout and workflow make the Monitor Station V2 easy to use so you can focus on the music.
High-Quality Components for Superior Sound
PreSonus designed the Monitor Station V2 with high-quality components to provide pristine, transparent monitoring. Gold-plated connectors, high-headroom headphone amps and premium analog circuitry deliver audio without coloration, noise or distortion so you can make mix decisions with confidence.

Great Design.... Bad Quality Components

I purchased on of these and after a couple of years the headphone pots and source cue switches started to have major problems cutting out and creating all kinds of static noise. I was unfortunately out of warranty and decided to disassemble the unit to see if I could use pot cleaner and some compressed air to clean the pots and switches. Upon inspection of the internals I found the pots to be soldered and permanently sealed and that goes for the switches too. Very cheap components from you know where in this thing. THIS UNIT IS BASICALLY DISPOSABLE AND CANNOT BE SERVICED. There are many complaints of this same issue on the net. Do a search... it is unfortunate because it's a great design. I will not purchase another one... no way. Buyer Beware. Regards. Craig

These are missing the volume knobs for inputs "A", "B" and "C". The older version let you set the volume for each speaker individually. Either there's a learning curve or they took it away. I'm going with the latter...
This product ROCKS!!

I have a home studio with two sets of monitors. I use a rack of PreSonus gear. I have most of the back full of Mogami cables on this PreSonus Monitor Station v2. I am using it as an input for my Pono player, a Tascam Pro CD-RW and using the headphone out to listen when I don't want to run the monitors. I like the big analog knob for volume control. If I were going to provide feedback I would say beef the volume knobs up and make them feel heavier. This device can be used for many things including tons of recording. I really like what it does for my use. I would buy it again. It was the perfect solution for my setup.
Not sure is right for me but certainly a usable gadjet

I was excited to receive it. I connected it and my first impression was not good, I heard sudden cracks on my speakers, however I contacted Pre-Sonus customer support and in timely fashion they told me to do a factory reset which fixed my problem. I then inspected the output to the speakers by recording the speaker outputs using scarlett18i20 inputs and noticed that the lower frequencies are somewhat attenuated which I thought could the playback and I am looking for a flat performance. So, based on my evaluation I concluded it is not an entirely flat device.

This is a great controller. The fact that you can set it to sum or x-over when selecting inputs is incredible and perfect for A/B-ing mixes. You can't tell from the description but there are several customizable programmable features that make it invaluable
