The "rain" effect is produced by physically inverting or rotating the rainmaker. Here's how it works: To turn the rain sound "on": Tip or slowly rotate the rainmaker from one end to the other. The internal beads fall through the internal baffles, creating the rain-like sound. The duration and intensity depend on how slowly you tilt it—hence the "30-minute" design, which refers to the potential length of the rainfall effect when moved very slowly. To "turn off" the sound: Stop moving it, or Keep it in a horizontal or upright position so the beads settle and stop falling.
