Epiphone Hummingbird EC Studio Limited-Edition Acoustic-Electric Guitar Wine Red

Description
Epiphone is proud to introduce the Hummingbird Pro, an acoustic-electric guitar with stylish looks and a voice to match. Featuring a solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides and Fishman Presys preamp, the Hummingbird Pro delivers balanced tone and effortless playability. The Hummingbird Pro is an acoustic that looks as good as it sounds.
Innovative Cutaway Provides Full Fretboard Access
The Hummingbird Pro's stylish cutaway design allows comfortable access to higher frets for melodic soloing and complex chording. Players can explore the full range of the fretboard with ease, unleashing the Hummingbird Pro's articulate acoustic voice.
Balanced, Warm Tone From Premium Tonewoods
A solid Sitka spruce top provides crisp articulation, while mahogany back and sides add warmth and depth. Together, they produce a balanced acoustic tone that's perfect for any musical style.
Fishman Presys Preamp for Plugged-In Performance
The built-in Fishman Presys preamp system provides a balanced tone when plugged in, giving players full control over their sound. Volume, bass, middle and treble controls allow for precise tonal shaping, while a phase switch reduces feedback at high volumes.
Vintage-Inspired Looks With Modern Playability
With a tortoiseshell pickguard, block fretboard inlays and a vintage sunburst finish, the Hummingbird Pro exudes vintage style. But its slim, lightweight body, cutaway design and low action provide thoroughly modern playability.

Heck of a good buy !
I just got one of the two in stock at the Jacksonville East store - Steve unboxed it so I could try it out since there were none on display - and it is a stunner ! Just gorgeous in every detail from the color to the gloss finish and the bound front, back and fretboard. The action and string spacing is not quite as nice as on the Seagull Entourage ($300 more) I compared it to, nor is the bass quite as round and full, but the midrange and treble sparkle and sing and the bass is strong enough for a well defined and balanced sound. Also I will probably put on some Elixir strings to reduce the string finger squeak, and adjust the truss rod for slightly lower action. The tone doesn't quite match an all solid wood model like my Yamaha LL16, but the craftsmanship is extremely close and for half the price ! I don't think you will find a better value in a Spruce top guitar. BTW - the pick guard fits perfectly, not the way it looks in the ad. The photos don't do justice to this guitar - you must see it in person !

Maroon Color not bright red as in the Picture
I received this Guitar today . Extremely disappointed in the Color. This is a very dark Burgundy shade of red. I was looking for a vibrant read Acoustic for playing at Church. This is a very small bodied Guitar unless mic up it is a very quiet Guitar. I played this for two hours and the fretboard finish has turned my fingertips Grey. Thats a sign of lousy finish on the neck.

Beautiful guitar with decent build quality. It will need a good setup as mine has very high action. The headstock is not the same as pictured too. It has the smaller inspired by Gibson headstock. The electronics with built-in tuner is nice and easy to use. Overall I would recommend this guitar especially because of value.
