Art Cruz: Memento Mori
Description
The revamped line of Zildjian Z Custom crashes deliver the thunderous volume and bright, cutting presence that made the original series an icon for metal drummers. But this latest evolution takes things further with a redesigned voice that blends ferocious power with enhanced musicality. Crafted by Zildjian's master cymbal makers, the Z Custom crashes cut through even the densest mixes while maintaining the nuance and feel to drive your most intricate grooves.
Project Over the Band With Explosive Tone
When the music calls for sheer intensity, the Z Custom crashes answer with a searing, high-volume roar. Their potent blend of weight, profile and bell size is meticulously balanced to maximize projection without sacrificing tone. From the opening crash, these cymbals slice through walls of distortion with a brilliant, cutting voice that demands attention. Yet, they maintain the complexity and character to fully support your playing style, rather than dominating it.
Bright and Aggressive, Yet Musical
While retaining the immense power that made them famous, the new Z Customs have been redesigned from the ground up for a more musical overall character. You still get that bright, punchy attack to cut over the band. But the sustain rings out with increased clarity and nuance, giving you better definition whether crashing or riding. The improved response adds an extra dimension to your performance, allowing more expressive and versatile playing across genres.
Vintage Vibe Spiked With a Modern Edge
Featuring a hammered star pattern and brilliant finish, these Z Custom crashes look as stellar as they sound. But the visual throwback belies the modern advancements under the hood. Zildjian implemented improved manufacturing techniques to increase the cymbals' durability and flexibility without compromising their signature character. The result is a crash that flexes and rebounds with your stickings while holding up to aggressive playing night after night.
Centuries of Sonic Mastery
The Z Custom line represents a true labor of love for Zildjian's cymbal makers, drawing on over 400 years of experience and tradition. Each crash is meticulously handcrafted, with its weight, profile, bell shape and hammering pattern dialed in for optimal performance. It's this obsessive attention to detail that separates Zildjian from the pack, allowing you to experience the legendary Z Custom tone in its full glory.
Whether powering high-octane metal, thrash, punk or hard rock, Z Custom crashes give you the tools to make your presence felt. With their redesigned voice blending awesome power with finesse, you get a crash that can keep up with your chops while helping your performance stand out. Prepare to make some noise with the reimagined Z Custom crashes.
