These pedals are great! I had been playing Iron Cobras for the past 6 years and they got to the point where the chain was starting to "stretch" and I was looking at having to replace the slave pedal and I had just said I was going to look at other pedals. I had actually gotten a $300 prepaid visa card from my employer so I decided to jump right onto these! When I first got them I instantly could tell these pedals were built to last! And as soon as put them on my kick drum and started playing I felt like a kid in a candy store! They take a little getting used to because of the direct drive but these are a game changer! I play everything but I drum in a metal band that the guitar has quick stops that I match with my pedal and these things make that so much easier! Go to your local GC and see if they have them so you can try them out you WONT be disappointed!

I've never played a direct drive before, so it felt weird at first when I bought it, but compared to chain drive pedals, this one has a great feel. It's super responsive.
Best pedal you can get for the price!

What is the legth of the footboard? Is it long or short?
I’m very sorry, the manufacturer has not made that information available. Presently I don't have one to check. Yamaha doesn't designate.submitted6 years ago

Can this pedal be configured for left footed set up? Meaning, the slave pedal on the right and main on the left?
This pedal cannot be adapted for left footed set up. We do have the Yamaha Double Bass Drum Pedal, Double Chain Drive, Left Footed.
