The Yamaha DTX8 Series E-drums is designed to deliver the highest-quality sounds and to put drummers in control of their creative expression. Featuring a DTX-PRO module and Kit Modifier, this kit delivers real sound and ambiance recorded in a world-renowned studio. The tactile feel of 2-ply mesh head pads along with positional sensing on the ride and snare provide a natural feel and expressiveness. The real wood birch wrapped shells were handcrafted and stained in the same factory as the Yamaha acoustic drums to give the beauty and presence of premium acoustic drums.

    I love this kit very much, especially the sounds. I wish though, that it had multi-channel audio through USB, similar to the 28 channels available on the Roland TD27 and others. I would record with these sounds if I had the ability to mix individuals and unfortunately I can't afford to upgrade to the TD10X to get the individual outs available there, though I would upgrade in a heartbeat if I could.

    I'm an older guy, not the best with computers and technology... It's been rough without any resources for downloads or add on's... Would really like to add some cymbals but don't know how to or where to start... Might be the only dtx8k owner in Clinton... Idk...

    Had this set for a year now. I can confidently say it's riddled with issues. The toms and crash cymbals are great. High hat, bass drum, and snare are beyond irritating. They are super unresponsive, likely to not pick things up, and difficult to hear. Wish I had gone with Roland.

    It does not have a thrown or bass pedal. It comes with everything else.
