Description
The GS Mini-e includes the Taylor Expression System Basic (ES-B) pickup, which incorporates piezo design elements from the ES2 system. It's powered by an onboard preamp that includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner, an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, plus a tone-sculpting 3-band EQ. Powered by a 9-volt battery, the ES-B conserves battery life using a standard on/off system that will automatically turn off if left on over 3 minutes. Additional appointments to the GS Mini-e include a mahogany neck, chrome tuners with chrome buttons and a Nubone nut. Comes with a Taylor structured gig bag.

This is a great little guitar.
I love playing this 3/4 size acoustic electric guitar. Very compact, focused sound...really quite amazing coming from such a small guitar. Made in Mexico but its a quality guitar, so don't let that put you off. Beautiful Koa wood top and I think the back and sides are Koa laminate as the description says, but don't let that deter you . It really sounds great. It has a smaller neck and obviously a shorter scale, smaller body is very comfortable for old pickers like me to sit around and play. Stays in tune well and intonation is very good. This is probably not for a bigger man with big hands. I am medium sized and I have no problems with the size, it's really comfortable as I said. I might even use it in a smaller venue. Originally I bought it to give to my grandson when he is old enough but Idk , i may have to get another one for him! My new favorite guitar!

Poor service
Ordered a Taylor GS Mini Koa for my son. Myself and the manager played the guitar and noticed a buzz on the 14th fret. The guitar looked new, but due to it being used it had a hold until the 5th. I was told the tech would replace the strings and adjust the neck so the guitar was ready when we brought my son to pick up his guitar. Called two hours ahead and was told "oh, oops, that was never done." They then called back to inform me the neck was warped and the guitar would need to be refunded. My son has had the 5th on the calendar for weeks, and is devastated. I asked if they could do anything and the snarky employee said "yes, refund you." AVOID. (Orem Ut)

I love the guitar

This GS Mini-e Koa is a replacement for the first unit I received, a month earlier; when I removed it from the box, I saw that the Koa top had a fairly large, white-ish, discolored area in the grain. I tried to ignore that for a month, then contacted GC, and my gear advisor, Aaron, helpfully facilitated an exchange. Three Cheers for Guitar Center! When I emailed Taylor Guitars, though, with a photo of the first unit and politely questioned them about quality control at their Mexican factory, I never received a reply. The second GS Mini I just received is beautiful and plays well, sounding and feeling "alive," which is what you want in an acoustic guitar.

It has such a great sound. I really appreciated trying out all the guitars at Guitar Center. The selection of GC is second to none. I also wanted just a basic pickup and the Taylor ESB is good enough for my needs. I ended up paying a little extra for the KOA because I love the sound and look but I think all the GS Minis are pretty good. I especially like how you can go to Guitar Center and look at the guitar and try it out in the store. I've seen some Taylor's that had a weird wood design and so trying out the one i'm going to buy really helped. Also the size is great. 99% of the time i'm just home on the couch playing something and the smaller size really helps.

For this size guitar - the sound is incredible. Of the 8-10 guitars I tried in this price range - this was number one. The only thing that is annoying- it EATS batteries.

Got this as a part of the Christmas Bogo special. I'm still deciding which i like better, the full size 114 or this little guy. Plays and sounds great. Good for the couch.
Great guitar.

What specific differences does this model have compared to the GS Mini-e Plus? I noticed the tuners are different as well as the electronics. Are there any other differences? Thank you.
