Taylor Guitars is thrilled to introduce the 150e Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar. This iconic 12-string dreadnought guitar features a solid spruce top and layered wood back and sides, producing a robust tone with brilliant highs and satisfying lows. Iconic 12-String Tone and Style
The 150e's solid spruce top and dreadnought body produce a dynamic 12-string tone with chimey highs, punchy mids and resonant lows. Strum full, ringing chords or pick melodic lines and the 150e responds with shimmering octaves. Its dreadnought shape and spruce top give the 150e visual appeal as iconic as its tone.
Amplify Authentically with ES2 Pickups
Taylor's Expression System 2 pickups capture the 150e's acoustic properties for natural amplified sound. Three behind-the-saddle pickups detect string vibration, while an onboard preamp shapes tone. Adjust volume, bass, mid and treble to suit any playing situation. Whether on stage, recording or jamming with friends, the ES2 pickups amplify the 150e's 12-string tone authentically.
Play Comfortably with Slim Neck Profile
Taylor's slim neck profile and 1-11/16" nut width provide a comfortable playing experience for all. Developing players will appreciate the 150e's manageable neck, which makes forming barre chords and complex fingerings easier. Seasoned players will enjoy the low action and fast feel of the ebony fretboard. Play for hours without hand fatigue thanks to the 150e's ergonomic and accessible design.
Travel Ready with Durable Gig Bag
The 150e includes a durable 600-denier nylon gig bag with reinforced handles and straps for easy transport and protection. Generous exterior pockets provide storage for accessories, while the padded lining shields the 150e from bumps and scrapes. Bring your 150e to lessons, jam sessions or shows with confidence using the high-quality gig bag.

Fantastic 12-string!

I compared many 12-string models to complement my 6-string Martin. The feel and sound of the 150e are outstanding. Nice low action, great low end, a bit wider but highly playable neck. Pickup sounds awesome through my amp, my only wish is for a built-in tuner but easily solved.
Great deal

Great action and setup out of the box. Guitar has great presence and plays loud even without being plugged in. Spruce top has a nice flame. Walnut looked amazing and the hard rock neck was flames also. Great guitar for a grand.
Love it.

I bought this today at the Atlanta location. I tried a number of other 12 strings, but seriously, on the first strum this one was different. The Taylor 150e played much better than the comparable Guild models I tried; the sound is much more focused and less muddy and the string spacing is much more forgiving than other 12-strings for folks like me who predominantly play 6-string acoustics. I am absolutely in love with it and if you're on the fence about buying a 12-string- this is in a perfect price point for a seriously quality guitar. BUT IT!

I started playing it right out of the box even though it was a bit out of tune and thought this is going to be nice. Then when I tuned it up it made my novice ability sound like I should be at Carnegie or some arena someplace. I wanted an arch back 12 string, but the ones I looked at were 5 times the cost of this Taylor. The sacrifice of veneer side and back time will tell, but this guitar is everything I was looking for and makes a nice addition to my collection.
Great Budget 12 String

Picked up a Taylor 150e used from a guy who said he couldn't play it, which was surprising because the action was perfect for me it was easy to play. A little low but not too low, no buzzing, and the saddle is fairly high. Looks like the original factory setup. Great neck. Of course it doesn't compare to more expensive solid wood 12 strings, but for the money it's great. Sounds like an orchestra, and it's a great alternative to my other acoustics. It's also a great skill builder for flat picking and finger picking.
I would buy this guitar again
