Exploring the Squier Sonic Series Stratocaster Models | Fender

Description
Squier brings the iconic Fender Stratocaster into reach with the Sonic Stratocaster HSS. This stylish, versatile and affordable instrument features the classic double-cutaway shape, with a lightweight body for playing comfort. The C-shaped neck has a smooth satin finish and the maple fingerboard is primed for fast playing.
Versatile Pickups Produce Both Bold and Bright Tones
A humbucker in the bridge position delivers high-output tone, perfect for heavier styles of music. The single-coil neck and middle pickups chime with crisp clarity, ideal for genres like rock, blues and country. With this combination, the Sonic Stratocaster HSS can produce a wide range of tones to suit any musical adventure.
Tremolo Bridge Adds Expressiveness
The six-saddle tremolo bridge allows players to bend notes and add vibrato effects. By rocking the tremolo arm, notes can be gently undulated or dramatically swooped for lead lines that sing. The tremolo bridge provides a fun way for new players to experiment with different sounds and techniques.
Sealed Tuners and Durable Hardware Provide Reliability
The Sonic Stratocaster HSS features sealed tuning machines that help keep the guitar in tune through hours of playing. The chrome-plated hardware, including the bridge saddles, pickup covers and control knobs, is built to last while also giving the guitar a stylish shine under the stage lights.
Made for Comfort and Built to Inspire
With its lightweight body, slim neck profile and smooth fingerboard, the Sonic Stratocaster HSS is made to play comfortably. An ideal first guitar, it provides an authentic Fender experience at an affordable price.

I came upon this accidentally while perusing in GC. I was amazed at the clarity . I'm almost 70 and know a good tone when I hear one. In the store I played through a Katana amp and sounded good enough to buy. At home I play through a Blackstar Debut and it sounds awesome. Jazz tone with clarity, rock tones too, great leads it's almost too good to be true. The neck ( mine is maple) could use some improving but bottom line is I'm loving this very tone versatile guitar. And, price aside ( sooo inexpensive ) it holds its own anywhere. Bravo Squier !
Pleasantly surprised! Worth purchasing

Bought intending to mod. Even stock it's good. I swapped a DG20 pickguard/pickups and put my spare Fender stratocaster tuners on. I personally did a setup and also had to shave the nut to let the strings stretch freely which fixed the tuning issue. Now stays in tune & plays great
Beautiful

I love the way this guitar looks and plays. I am new to electric guitars but I can say that the strings are easy to press down on making it easy for learners like me. I have no complaints. I feel like a rock star. #sweepstakes

everything's great honestly just one thing, the bolts on the recorder in the guitar keeps getting loose and the spring fell out, and it wouldn't hold anymore, so I had to get a new one, other than that the guitar is good.
Beautiful guitar!
