Versatile Beast
I owned the first Generation Spark Amp and loved it. As soon as I saw the 2nd Generation was coming out, I did not hesitate to pull the trigger. This one blows the original out of the water in practicallity, sound and functions. I also own the Spark Go, so I'm very familiar with these. I love the fact that you can update your firmware through wifi and the ability to get the extra battery that makes this even more portable. My battery lasts a good 9 to 10 hours. I can't say enough of the Spark 2. They upgraded every aspect of it, and even the quality is solid.

Buy the Yamaha instead.
I thought I had done extensive research and this was the one to get, but mine had a awful speaker crackle problem that does not exist through the headphone jack. I wasn't aware of this problem but after some more research its clear it is a common issue. Firmware updates did not fix it and numerous people report replacements have the same speaker crackle issue. I returned mine within 24 hours of getting as it was that bad. The app is also very buggy and crashed numerous times trying to update the firmware. Do your research on these problems before buying, especially the speaker crackle because it is a hardware problem, not a software problem (check youtube videos). It did sound good, especially when listening through the head phone jack... But the speaker issue and the app problems are really unacceptable. It feels like the product was rushed to the market. Recommend spending the extra cash on the Yamaha.

Sell your pedals and home amps!

So let the customer support scare you from this one. The forums answer the majority of what you will ever need. Other companies will scramble to keep pace with this company. They get customer support fixed and they can own the market. Trade your pedals and amps and buy it! Trade if you have too!

The Spark 2 sounds great! It's better than expected. It's the next level of amp modeling IMO. The app is very easy to use. I like having the option of 8 presets. I came up with my own by using some of existing presets as a starting point. I have a Fender like clean sound, a jazz chorus type sound, EVH 5150 sound, EVH 5150 with a little chorus to get that 90s Van Hagar sound, A good plexi sound similar to Eddie's. That leaves 3 presets to experiment with. It's plenty loud to play with my drum machine. I highly recommend this.
