Washburn

collapse expand iconDescription

The Washburn EA15 acoustic-electric guitar is a highly capable instrument ready for any stage or studio. Featuring a mini-jumbo cutaway body with a stunning flamed maple top, catalpa back and sides and Washburn's EQ4T preamp system with built-in tuner, the EA15 delivers balanced tone and plug-in-ready performance. The 1-11/16" nut width and 25-1/2" scale length provide comfortable playability, while the cutaway allows easy access to upper frets.

EQ4T Preamp Provides Total Tone Control

The EA15 comes equipped with Washburn's EQ4T preamp, designed in collaboration with electronics pioneer Barcus Berry. Featuring an onboard tuner, bass/mid/treble EQ controls and notch filter, the EQ4T provides comprehensive tone shaping for any performance setting. Connect the 1/4" hi-Z output to your amplifier or the XLR lo-Z output to a PA system.

Mini-Jumbo Cutaway Body Delivers Articulate Tone

The EA15's mini-jumbo cutaway body produces a focused yet punchy tone with clear articulation. The cutaway provides comfortable access to upper frets for intricate solos or chord melodies. The flamed maple top adds visual flair while contributing to a balanced acoustic voice. Quarter-sawn spruce bracing enhances projection and tonal balance.

Catalpa Back and Sides Provide Acoustic Resonance

The EA15's catalpa back and sides produce a resonant yet controlled acoustic tone to complement the articulate flamed maple top. Catalpa is a hardwood similar to mahogany, with a slightly brighter tone. Combined with the mini-jumbo body shape, the catalpa back and sides help create the EA15's balanced acoustic voice.

Love this guitar!

I came in looking to get a Seagull S6 for about twice the price and while looking around saw this baby. I thought it's a Washburn and a good price so I picked it up and loved it from the first strum. It sounds great and is very fun to play. I love the look and feel. It is perfect for me and I keep finding myself wanting to pick it up and play it. Great guitar and a great price!

I recently visited my local GC "just lookin'l. I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I saw this Washburn hanging on the wall and thought I'd give it a try. I was, and still am, very pleased with the looks, feel and sound, especially in the lower range. All this for under $200? Yes please.

  • I would buy this product again.

New to this, so if I want to use a guitar strap I only see one place to hook and that's the bottom, where do I hook the other side of my strap?

Washburn's ship with light-gauge D'addario strings, though most acoustic instruments can accept any standard acoustic guitar string gauge.
