TELEFUNKEN

collapse expand iconDescription

The Telefunken M80 Dynamic Microphone sets a new standard for high-fidelity live performance. Telefunken's low-mass capsule and ultrathin membrane provide stunning detail and clarity across a wide 50Hz-18kHz frequency range to capture every nuance of your voice or instrument with condenser-like depth.

Wide, Natural Frequency Response

While typical dynamic mics can sound dull or honky, the M80's low-mass diaphragm and capsule assembly provide an open, airy tone that highlights the natural qualities of any sound source. The mic's broad frequency range captures subtle details as well as powerful lows, letting your unique tone shine through without exaggerating proximity effect or upper midrange.

Custom Transformer for Clear, Balanced Sound

At the heart of the M80's performance is a custom-wound impedance-matching transformer that provides the power and sensitivity needed for both stage and studio use. The transformer helps the mic achieve a clarity and tonal balance unheard of in comparably priced dynamic mics, giving the M80 a signature sound that rivals much more expensive condenser models.

Roadworthy Build for Reliable Results

While the M80 delivers nuanced, musical results in the studio, it is built to withstand the rigors of live performance. Its rugged metal chassis and grille can take the accidental drops and bumps that come with life on the road without impacting its premium components. A included clip and protective bag provide additional safeguarding for your investment in pristine sound.

An Unbeatable Value in Professional Mics

With a level of audio quality and construction normally reserved for much higher-priced condenser microphones, the Telefunken M80 dynamic mic represents an unparalleled value for performers and studios alike. Experience the difference that only Telefunken's handcrafted excellence can provide.

Awesome microphone that requires very little EQ to sound great. Less feedback than more common microphones used on stage. Only negative is the sensitivity to popping.

I purchased this microphone and used it for the first time at open mic. I must say I was very impressed with the overall performance. I used it on a full band who was a female vocalist and sounded full and clear sounding with very little EQ required. I also used it on one male singer/songwriters that night. Again very little EQ required except this mic will suffer from the plosives which I was able to removed most of it out. I used my Presonus RM16 spectrograph to better locate at what frequency and just used the HPF.
