Great accent cymbal. It pairs well with the Evolution china crash cymbals.

The title says it all. This crash feature an unique crash sound with dirty dark and trashy sound compared to a chinese cymbal excellent tone and great aggression. I owned the 18 inch but also the 20 inch is the monstrous one

Amazingly flexable cymbal. Its got a realy controlled sustain so you can hold 16ths on it without it getting out of controll and while keeping a great consistant volume. Great high stick def, nice dark sound, and quite flexable. The sound is somewhere between a china and a dark crash. Simply put it works with any rock, metal, punk, country or almost anything you will have a need for a nice dark crash with unsurpassed controll. But you do need to watch how you play it so you dont end up getting a stick stuck into the holes.

I was looking for a nice china cymbal for about 3 years and I couldn't seem to find one, until a man at Guitar Center told me to try the HHX Ozone out. As soon as I hit it I fell in love with it. It gives you a very china-like sound with out the tin can sound from a regular china. It cuts through even in very loud environments. Despite the cost this is an excellent cymbal.

The best effect cymbal (if you can afford it)

I have the 16", and it is amazing. It is sharp and cutting at high volume, and dark and chilling at low volume. I have 2 other effect cymbals (12" and 20" chinas) and I use this one the most. It works as a crash, as long as you don't need any sustain. It works excellently for riding to create a high-energy accented-quarter-notes groove. For individual accents, it works well, but my chinas sound better at this situation. It is much more versatile than my other chinas, though, especially at low volume. The only drawbacks are its hefty price tag--albeit deserved--and its durability (I am a very hard hitter, but I just discovered a crack after less than 5 months of use). Of course, the 2-year warranty on HHX cymbals helps. I strongly recommend this cymbal.
