Smart Tools Remove Barriers to Creativity

The Oxygen Pro 61's Smart Chord and Smart Scale modes eliminate the constraints of traditional keyboard playing.     I wanted to use this with my iPhone. It draws too much current and the iPhone can't power it. There's no capability to plug in power. Would it really have killed M-Audio to add a power jack for a couple of bucks? Trying to squeeze every nickel of profit out of it. Do better M-Audio.

    As MIDI controllers go, this one is definitely powerful. Lots of features, very capable. I love the look and design of it as well as the feel of the semi-weighted keys.

    Bought one and had to return it because a couple of keys kept hitting and sticking. Got a replacement and just a couple of months in, faders 1 and 2 stopped working. Then just after a year, it started writing tons of random automation on its own making it impossible to record.

    I bought this product to use live. I just completed my first gig after having it for 2 months and one of the keys has popped up and won't go back down. M-Audio customer support is non-existent and Guitar Centers customer service is even worse. Take my advice, buy from somewhere else. I now have a defective product that I can't get any assistance on getting fixed.

    I use my Oxygen 61 for composing in Cubase and I love it! The keys do feel a bit plastic but not hammer action, they are semi-weighted, comfortable to play on. Knobs and sliders feel useful, again not like a plastic feel and with some slight resistance. Drum pads need a little pressure but cant complain they work good for drumming. Mod wheels are slick and good for adding dynamics and expression data! Overall this is a decent keyboard and I would recommend for composers who are looking for a first time buy!
