Introducing Next Generation JBL 3 Series MkII Studio Monitors

JBL

collapse expand iconDescription

The JBL LSR310S 10" powered studio subwoofer takes your studio monitoring experience into the depths of bass. With a custom-designed 10" down-firing driver and Slip Stream port, this powered subwoofer reaches down to an earth-shaking 27Hz, unleashing tight, focused bass that brings tracks to life. Designed as the perfect companion to JBL's LSR studio monitor series, the LSR310S lets you experience the full spectrum of your music.

Slip Stream Port Delivers Tight, Accurate Bass

JBL's patented Slip Stream port works with the 10" driver to produce bass you can feel. The port's innovative design reduces turbulence, enabling fast, accurate bass response at any volume. Whether you're mixing at a whisper or a roar, you'll get the proper level of low end that you need to make balanced creative decisions.

Tailor the Low End to Your Needs

A selectable crossover gives you flexibility in how the LSR310S integrates into your monitoring setup. Choose between standard and JBL's XLF Extended Low Frequency setting for the specific low-end contour your production requires. The XLF mode provides an augmented bass curve similar to that found in dance clubs, allowing you to hear how your tracks will translate on massive club systems.

Seamless Integration Into Any Studio

With a variety of inputs and outputs, including balanced XLR, 1/4" TRS and RCA, the LSR310S can be connected to any studio setup. Its compact, durable enclosure is designed for small studio spaces, with a sleek, contemporary design that complements any decor. The LSR310S is easy to position to achieve the ideal low-end response for your unique room dimensions and speaker placement.

Unmatched Value and Performance

Rounding out its impressive capabilities, the LSR310S delivers 200W of power, allowing it to keep up with any monitor system. The JBL LSR310S is an unparalleled subwoofer value that will transform how you create and monitor your music.

BOOM!

Ultra clean sound. This is designed for precision listening as it is a sub for Studio use. Therefore, the bass will be accurate vs exaggerated. What makes this a great sub is its XLF switch which will allow you to add exaggeration so you can emulate/reproduce how your sound will sound on a large/professional soundsystem. I am a dj/producer so its really nice to have that as an option!

Don't waste your time..

I purchased this sub to use with a pair of JBL LSR308's. Until now, I have always placed the 308's gain settings at 100%. Using this sub, I have had to back off the 308's gain to 30% with the sub gain at 100% & crossover set at @ 80hz in order to hear the sub. In other words, the LSR310S is very, very weak in power.. It does not have accurate bass response. It may dazzle newbies in audio recording, as any type of "thud" "boom" or low end roar is apparently exciting to those who are not familiar with the response of an accurate subwoofer. However, in a professional mix environment, it will no doubt be a huge disappointment to seasoned audio engineers. I do not recommend this sub. Waste of time and money.

Added this 10in sub to an existing 6in monitor setup and the difference is amazing. Dual XLR allows separate L and R interfaces to monitor speakers. Base response is tight and crisp so start from the lowest gain settings and work up. Work recommend vibration dampening if not on floor.

Only JBL features XLF. Think "eXtra Low Frequency Boost". When in the on position, XLF adds an ADDITIONAL 10 db boost to the LOW end Frequency Response. If you want to know ACCURATELY how your Recording Mix will sound Live using Pro gear with Pro Subs (EDM) it doesn't get closer than what JBL XLF gives you with this model in your Studio. I also added one to the kick drum in the Studio with a mic pre for ambience and the added beef is in a word, Glorious.

Love this subwoofer when it's working, however after less than a year it has developed an issue where it drops the output signal on the left speaker. If you go to the back of the subwoofer and giggle the cable back and forth it will start working again. Spent a month verifying that it was not the Mogami Gold cables, the Pioneer DDJ 1000 controller or the JBL 308P. All of them checked out fine. Will be going back to the store next week.

Loud enough for my needs. Took a bit to dial it in, but after that, it sounded great.

We don't have a set date, but they are releasing a line of the limited white subs and speakers. Shouldn't be too long out.
