Ibanez

collapse expand iconDescription

The Ibanez RGT1220PB is one of the most recognizable and distinctive guitars in the Ibanez lineup. A pair of high-output DiMarzio Air Norton and The Tone Zone humbucker provides a huge sound with a broad dynamic range. The dyna-MIX 10 wiring system offers ten sonic variations. Activate coil-splitting with the mini switch, or power Tap mode for realistic single-coil sounds.

This sleek guitar has an American basswood body with a poplar burl top. Ibanez's thin, flat and fast Wizard III neck is made of maple and walnut. The ebony fingerboard has stainless steel frets with Premium Fret Edge Treatment for smooth, comfortable play without corrosion. The neck-through construction contributes to massive sustain and easy access to high notes up to the 24th fret.

The Gotoh tuners pair with an Edge tremolo bridge for exceptional tuning stability, precise intonation adjustment and rock-solid reliability. The Ibanez RGT1220PB comes with a gig bag designed specifically to fit and protect your investment for a lifetime of play.

Absolutely beautiful guitar. Super comfortable neck, not too thin. Pickups are great. Came set up perfectly.

  • Sustains for days and stays in tune. Tremendous value.

I bought this over a year ago, and it's been my main guitar ever since. It replaced my expensive PRS Floyd Custom 24 for 1/3 of the price. Love the pups. They are a little quiet tho. There are some cool sounds w the 10 options you have. It sustains for days. It's never been easier to reach the high frets because of the neck thru design. The Stainless Steel frets are amazing. Bends feel so smooth. My prs didn't even come with those. I've owned a few Floyd's, but the Edge trem seems just as good if not better. My only complaint is the term bar o rings often need to be replaced. Build quality was decent. I did have some fret sprouts on the high e side frets 20 and above. I just had my local tech shave then down a little. I absolutely love this guitar. It's not my main anymore because I bought an evh Wolfgang sig, but this will remain my #2 because it feels great and it has some sounds the Wolfgang doesn't. Plus it has a few extra frets.
