The 4 On the Floor Classic Bass Overdrive is an all analog bass overdrive pedal that gracefully emulates four different overdrive types found in classic tube circuit topologies. It then gives the player additional control over drive/gain, overdrive path (only) with high pass and low pass filters and separately a clean blend. The result is the ability to tailor and fine tune the overdrive to fit with a wide spectrum of music and playing techniques, without the loss of touch sensitivity and musicality or the addition of induced excess noise. This versatile pedal can be used as a clean boost, an “always on” tonal enhancement or offering varied overdrive textures to shift through, for selected performance requirements.

    I bought this little box a couple weeks ago to try and give my bass a little more color. (My amp is very clean.) This box gave me exactly what I wanted, from a little saturation to a nice grind. The controls are well laid out, and the feature set is VERY well thought out, giving you all the control over the color in every possible way. The levels of drive and responsiveness are really well implemented and thought out. Highly recommended if you need to give your bass drive and color! (It's not a distortion box, btw. Not really going to make your bass sound like a chainsaw. Just a warm saturation that sound very tube-like.) It's a great unit. I'm very impressed, and VERY happy with it!

    Bought this for use with a Chapman Stick to give the bass some color. I did not find a setting on this pedal that worked for me for this instrument. Otherwise appears to be well made, I found it easy to use, and it operated quietly - no loud pops when dis/engaged either.
