Great Sound

Went to GC to originally try the new Epiphone ES335, but didn't like the neck, it was a little thicker than I am used to. Decided to the give the D'Angelico a try and found the neck to very comfortable and the sound was so clear and different from the Epiphone I knew it was a keeper. I was looking for an all around guitar, but mostly for jazz and blues. I would have given it 5 stars, but I had to order the black flake and when it arrived it was covered in sawdust including the inside of the f holes. I have ordered guitars before and never had this problem. The workmanship was excellent and it was ready to play rate of the box. Just thought they could have went the extra step and cleaned it before shipping.
A really amazing instrument!!!

I'm a experienced bassist but a relative novice on the guitar. I currently own a goodly handful of acoustic and electric gutirs. Something about the D'Angelico DC just spoke to me when I first saw one in the background of a (Youtube) Music retailer in the U.K. I started doing some research and was happy to find that the entire "Premier" line of guitars got high praise. At my local GC they had a couple of the Premier DC's on the floor and man oh man they are sweet! Just not the color I wanted. The manager set me up with the color (Ocean Turquoise) and a great price. Three business days later it arrived at my home. Out of the box this guitar is flawless. No fret sprout or uneven setting of fretwires., a super nut job st up was already spot on. No finish flaws anywhere! Zero buzz. The neck feels like it was custom crafted to my hand. Anyone who says yo don't get quality builds out of Indonesia needs to try one of these. A better guitar may not make you a better player but a guitar that you want to play will. This is one of those that I want to have in my hands whenever I can

I play a lot of gigs in my neighborhood. This guitar has been my new go-to. I decided to upgrade from a cheap 335 knockoff I had and this was a great move. The tone sounds really bell-clear and get's hot easily when I turn up the amp. It's serving me super well for some BB King/Blues style stuff I have in my set. the design is also beautiful with the cool D'angelico headstock.

Hey, I'm interested in surprising my fiancé with this at our wedding. I wanted to get a hard case for it so I can paint "Thank you & Goodnight" on it as our last photo. Can you please tell me what case would work best for this? Thanks!
Most cases will be made of Tolex or Tweed. If you plan on painting it - you will want to go with tolex and not tweed. You will want a wide bout double cutaway electric guitar casesubmitted6 years ago

This guitar does offer coil tapping which is activated with the volume / tone knobs.
