Introducing Next Generation JBL 3 Series MkII Studio Monitors

Description
The JBL 308P MkII 8" powered studio monitor fits seamlessly into your studio setup for a high-quality audio solution with a versatile design. Designed with acclaimed JBL transducers, you will get crystal-clear audio with a wide dynamic range, which has an ideal balance for mixing. The JBL Image Control Waveguide provides an immersive soundstage for precise representation of your mix, allowing you to hear subtle details to perfect your mix. With dual Class-D amplifiers, the JBL 308P MkII delivers on a powerful sound that has exceptional detail for any application you might need.
Improved Technology for Accurate Acoustics
The JBL 308P MkII has a fast transient response thanks to the 8" woofer and the 1" neodymium tweeter that gives immaculate detail in the upper register. The JBL Slip Stream low-frequency port helps to provide a deep, articulate bass, and with low-frequency linearity for reduced distortion thanks to an enhanced woofer design, this monitor offers unbeatable performance. With the 3-position HF Trim switch you can customize your high-frequency response to fit the acoustics of your room and the Boundary EQ reduces the low-end boost for accurate audio production.
Big Power in a Compact Size
The patented Image Control Waveguide throws the mix equally across the room, so no matter where your listener is standing, they are hearing your music the same, with no dead spots. Acoustically, there is a smooth transition between the high- and low-frequency transducers for crystal-clear audio. This studio monitor also has dual Class-D amplifiers for a strong, deep sound that has a broad dynamic range, making it versatile enough to use for your home studio while still getting the professional sound design you want.

First pair of studio monitors
Going from standard, good quality PC speakers to these isn't really a fair comparison. I bought some nice stands and set them up just like the instructions say to and the sound is really mesmerizing. I'l sit for hours and just play acoustic pieces with some nice delay/reverb/chorus with a good IR and sitting at the perfect reference point just puts me into a trance almost. These monitors are definitely hefty and you have to use solid stands, but they are definitely worth the money I paid, which wasn't very much since they were on sale for almost half off. The clarity is just amazing for my first pair of monitors, and I'm guessing there are better ones but I actually just now started recording at home again after about 25 years lol. I didn't want to spend too much right out of the gate either and my recording is going very well. I'm really happy with these monitors!

Not sure
I use it with an mini IPAD to play Itunes and Youtube and I have to have the Volume all the way up to get the level I need. By comparison, using a Samson SE8 , I keep the volume at half...

The JBL 308P MKII are just what I needed for my new Amp modeler in my home studio, without the steep price of some FRFR speakers out there. I already have a pair of JBL 5" monitors for the computer. Great quality, XLR and TRS inputs, great quality "notched" power/volume knobs. A great buy overall.

Read a bad review stating that they're not loud enough. That to me is a joke, they crank! They're not powered PA Speakers, they're monitor speakers for mixing. Anyone having trouble with getting volume out of them is probably hooking directly up to them with something that doesn't have a preamp. I run them off the control room output on my mixer which is a pre-amp and they have no problem putting out sound. I've had them for two years and they've held up well, but I'm not running them at clip either and if the lows seem a little much from my synths during a jam and I want more volume, I switch to my PA. For the money, in this price range, they're a great value and I have no regrets buying them. They do what I intended them to do, which is monitor mixes when recording and minimize the amount of time I have to spend wearing headphones at all.
These are great speakers.

Grabbed these for my home production and I can't be any more happy.. great bass and Highs,The look is awesome and looks good wherever.. I have the Yamahas 8's along with the Jbl 5s at studio.. I had the 5s at home for my production but it wasn't cutting it cause I needed more bass.. these are amazing and for price is a great deal.. don't pass up on these cause there jbl's.. i hd a choice between the adams and Yamahas 6's or 7's and I chose the jbl's.. these are not like the older Jbl's .. I appreciate them updating and remodeling there speakers.. unlike allot of company's who have had the same design for 10 plus years just a different box..
