collapse expand iconDescription

The Ibanez JS140M Joe Satriani Signature electric guitar was designed in close collaboration with virtuoso guitarist Joe Satriani himself and delivers the versatile tones and fast-playing neck Satriani relies on for his progressive rock masterpieces. The JS140M lets you channel Satriani's expressive style in a guitar as bold as his playing.

JS Series Pickups Provide a Wealth of Tonal Options

The JS140M is equipped with a trio of Ibanez JS series pickups that offer a wide range of tones, from warm and rounded to aggressive and biting. A 5-way selector switch lets you access neck humbucker, neck and middle, middle, middle and bridge and bridge humbucker settings with ease. Roll back the tone for a thick, resonant neck humbucker sound or crank the tone and gain to unleash the bridge humbucker's crushing distortion—the tonal possibilities are nearly endless.

Fast, Comfortable Wizard III Neck

Satriani's signature model features a speedy Wizard III maple neck for effortless shredding and string bending. Its thin, flat profile and wide fretboard allow for maximum hand positioning freedom, while jumbo frets make it easy to wring every ounce of sustain from each note. The JS140M's 24 medium frets provide two full octaves of range for exploring the neck.

Double-Locking Tremolo for Rock-Solid Stability

No signature Satriani model would be complete without a double-locking tremolo system for radical pitch bending and dive-bombs. The JS140M includes an Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge that locks the strings at the nut and bridge to ensure perfect tuning stability no matter how passive aggressively you manipulate the whammy bar.

Sleek Basswood Body and Matching Headstock

The JS140M has an ergonomically contoured basswood body that provides a balanced weight and resonant tonal foundation. Its arched top adds an element of flair while allowing unhindered high-fret access.

I've recorded several songs with this guitar, it gets more use than my Musicman JP15 - I was surprised too! We as guitar music enthusiasts always have to wrestle with the conundrum of price vs. perception of ultimate satisfaction. I find that guitars set between $1000-$1500 from most top companies are worthy instruments with only minor adjustments needed if any. You wont go wrong with this guitar whether you want to sound like Satch or not. Rock on!

  • Very well built, high quality and nicely designed

The neck is great, very thin and the action is good. The body craddles nicleyds when sitting and the cut-out allows easy access to high frets

Love the soda blue color, it looks great! I just use it for practice at home. The OG pick ups sounded great but I replaced them with Dimarzio JS pickups. The Satch track in the neck and the Mo Joe in the bridge. I wanted Satch signature pick ups in his signature guitar.
