Gibson SG Standard Ebony Limited-Edition Electric Guitar Silver Burst

Description
The Gibson SG Standard Ebony limited-edition electric guitar is more than an instrument—it's a symbol. Sleek, sharp and soaked in rock history, the SG has been the axe of choice for artists who change the game. Think Sister Rosetta Tharpe's gospel fire, George Harrison's psychedelic edge and Tony Iommi's genre-defining riffs. This limited-edition all-black version blends vintage attitude with modern bite, featuring a solid mahogany body, dual 490 humbuckers, a bound rosewood fingerboard and blacked-out hardware. It's built for tone, speed and stage presence—just like the legends who made it iconic.
Iconic SG Body With Effortless Feel
The SG's double-cutaway design isn't just recognizable—it's built to move. The ultra-lightweight mahogany body makes it one of the most comfortable guitars in the Gibson lineup, ideal for long sets and marathon rehearsals. Contoured edges, a fast rounded mahogany neck and gloss nitro finish create a fluid playing experience that disappears in your hands while amplifying every nuance of your style.
490 Humbuckers With Vintage Punch
Loaded with Gibson's 490R and 490T Alnico II pickups, this SG delivers thick mids, sweet highs and a punchy low end. Whether you're chasing the growl of early Sabbath or the clarity of modern slide work, the SG Standard brings dynamic, expressive tone that cuts through any mix. It's a sound that shaped rock, blues and metal—and it still roars today.
Ebony Finish With Blackout Hardware
This limited-edition model features an all-Ebony gloss finish, chrome hardware, black top hat knobs and a bound rosewood fingerboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays. Under stage lights or in the studio, it looks as bold as it sounds. Classic lines meet modern flair in a finish that's sleek, dark and unmistakably SG.
Built To Rock, Trusted By Legends
The SG body shape helped power some of music's most iconic performances. From Pete Townshend's windmills to Gary Clark Jr.'s soulful grit, it's been on the frontlines of innovation. Tony Iommi tracked "Symptom of the Universe" with his SG, giving metal its blueprint. This guitar comes from that same bloodline—with rock-solid tuning stability, a Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge and the kind of playability that turns takes into keepers.
Why Choose the Gibson SG Standard Ebony Limited Edition?
Because you're not just buying a guitar—you're plugging into history. With its standout finish, fast neck and versatile tone, this SG isn't a reissue. It's a rebirth. This limited-edition SG brings legendary tone, bold style and the kind of playability that earns a permanent spot in any serious lineup.

I truly love this guitar. Bought used at GC in excellent condition. The Silverburst finish is fantastic, Ebony fretboard and fret work is wonderful. Sounds and plays killer. This guitar has a couple very minor cosmetic flaws, but nothing unusual for a Gibson and easily rectified.
I will definitely buy my next Gibson from Guitar center.

Everything is great about this amazing instrument. The only downside, which has nothing to do with guitar center. Is that Gibson no longer includes hard cases with the Gibson sg standards. Other than that everything is absolutely perfect. I'm no longer a gigging musician so I mainly just collect, and play at home.

I went to my local guitar center to see this Silverburst SG in person. I checked it over real good, looking for things wrong in the finish. Check the neck for tooling marks and by the nut for cracks. None we found. I played it and wow. It played great and I love the neck on it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Like pretty much everyone, I play everything from classic rock to alternative/modern rock styles, some heavier stuff, and this guitar can tackle it all. The Silverburst is beautiful, ebony fretboard is amazing and you usually have to go custom shop to get that fretboard. Great value.
Finally a Gibson SG silverburst !

I have always wanted an Gibson SG silverburst. I really Appreciate the silverburst color on a guitar. Now that it's on a Gibson Standard SG it makes it that much better . The guitar plays like a dream . I had to do a little bit of set up to the guitar to my liking but after all that now it's just a beast of a guitar . The silverburst scheme with the white binding nickel hardware and black back just really makes everything pop on the guitar . The only thing that I was disappointed in is that it came with a gig bag and not a hardshell case . Other than that I am super pleased with my purchase .
