This guitar far exceeded my expectations by a long way. I currently have over 30 guitars but this one was the best out of the box guitar I have ever bought. From the QC to the setup to the tone were perfect!

Everything is perfect. The action and setup is just as good as my Customs. The mirrored guard looks sweet! The buckers sound great and are perfect for chugging and squeals.. if that is what you are looking for :)

Bought one of these new in box from a GC store. Bush league scrape work on the binding. Uneven with scrape marks running continuously from the 2nd fret up to the 17th fret area. The QC problems at Gibson roll on. 100% refund. I feel badly for anyone buying a new Gibson who doesn't know what to look for.

  • I love this guitar

This guitar is incredible. One of the best playing guitars I've ever played. The fret board feels amazing. The tone on this thing is ridiculous. This guitar is so fun to play. The first evening i purchased this i played for nearly 3 hours!

  • It has a KISS vibe (Paul Stanley)!

I had some time to kill and was in the neighborhood, so I dropped in to the New Orleans Guitar Center. I was impressed that they actually had some high-end guitars in stock. I already have a 70s Explorer, so I gravitated towards the Gibson's. Being a KISS fan, what immediately caught my eye was this black mirrored beast that no doubt has a KISS/Paul Stanley look to it. I was mesmerized by it and said to myself, "I didn't know they made a model like this, cool"! I later found out that this was a Guitar Center Exclusive/Limited Edition guitar. I didn't buy immediately, but this guitar was haunting my brain for about a week before I decided to pull the trigger. So, I went back about a week later and purchased. I usually do not buy guitars like this "off the rack" but I made an exception. It had some typical gunk from non-serious buyers/players that took a while to polish off. It definitely needed some love and I wanted to do it all myself. Since this guitar did not come to me straight from the warehouse, I am not going to judge the setup, although the nut slots were way too high for a Gibson. I think they just put those two numbers on the inspection card without even checking (2L, 1H). After I put my mojo on it, I will say it plays and looks great!
