The Fender American Professional II Stratocaster rosewood fingerboard electric guitar takes a timeless classic and elevates it with modern performance-focused refinements. With its lightweight alder body, smooth satin-finished neck and advanced electronics, this Stratocaster offers the perfect blend of comfort, tone and playability. Its V-Mod II single-coil pickups deliver the quintessential Strat sound—crisp highs, balanced mids and articulate lows—while introducing improved clarity and definition. The sculpted neck heel ensures effortless access to the upper frets, and the upgraded tremolo system provides precise pitch modulation without compromising tuning stability. Designed for players who demand exceptional tone and reliability, the American Professional II Stratocaster balances vintage charm with cutting-edge updates, making it an inspiring choice for studio sessions and live performances alike.

Fender V-Mod II Pickups for That Quintessential Strat Tone

This Stratocaster features Fender's newly voiced V-Mod II single-coil pickups, designed to refine the iconic sound of the original Strat. The bridge pickup offers bright, cutting tones perfect for lead work, while the neck and middle pickups deliver warm, glassy textures ideal for rhythm and clean passages. Together, these pickups produce a balanced output with improved clarity and articulation, ensuring every note rings true. The addition of a treble-bleed circuit maintains high-end sparkle, even at lower volume settings. Whether you're dialing in shimmering cleans or pushing into gritty overdrive, the V-Mod II pickups provide the versatility needed for dynamic performances.

Deep C Neck Profile Optimized for Comfort and Speed

The American Professional II Stratocaster is equipped with a deep C-shaped neck profile, offering just the right amount of substance for comfortable grip and control. The smooth satin finish eliminates stickiness, making it ideal for fast passages and extended playing sessions. Rolled fingerboard edges enhance the ergonomic feel, ensuring effortless transitions across frets. The rosewood fingerboard adds warmth to the guitar's tone and pairs beautifully with tall, narrow frets for precise bends and accurate intonation. Combined with the sculpted neck heel, this design ensures easy access to higher frets, making the instrument equally suited for intricate leads and chord-heavy rhythms.

Upgraded Tremelo Bridge for Reliable Performance

This model features a two-point synchronized tremolo system with cold-rolled steel block saddles, providing exceptional tuning stability and tonal sustain. The floating tremolo design allows players to add smooth pitch modulation without sacrificing accuracy, while the steel saddles enhance string vibration transfer for a fuller sound. Each saddle is individually adjustable, ensuring precise intonation for any setup. With its durable construction and responsive feel, this tremolo system supports expressive playing styles while maintaining the reliability needed for demanding live performances.

Premium Fender Build With Road-Ready Durability

Crafted from a lightweight alder body, this Fender Strat is engineered for both resonance and long-term durability. The gloss urethane finish protects the instrument from wear while highlighting the natural beauty of the alder wood. Nickel/chrome hardware adds a sleek, classic touch, while Fender's four-bolt neck plate ensures structural stability even under rigorous use. The reinforced steel truss rod prevents neck warping, maintaining a consistent setup over time. With its robust yet lightweight construction, this model is built to handle years of studio sessions, gigs and extensive travel.

A Very Beautiful & Great Sounding Guitar

I own four Fenders and two of them are Strats. I bought the Tri-Color Sunburst American Professional II in September 2021 and have had plenty of time to play and test it out, so I figured that it was about time for me to write a review on this beautifully crafted American made Stratocaster. The Rosewood fingerboard is really nice. My old 1954 Tobacco Sunburst Reissue has a maple neck and fingerboard with frets which are a bit lower in height than the more modern Pro II. Upon first playing the guitar, I was getting a lot of buzz, which meant that the action had to be adjusted. I took the guitar to my luthier for a full set up and he easily adjusted away all that annoying buzz. I highly recommend anyone buying a new guitar to set the action up the way you like it soon after purchase, because nearly all guitars will need some attention when you take it right out of the box. I normally use a second hand Fender acoustic as my go too practice guitar, but when I pick up the Pro II Strat, it practically plays itself. The sunburst finish, Rosewood neck and tortoiseshell colored pickguard give this instrument a stunning appearance. The guitar also comes with a nice, sturdy Fender hard shell case. Some may prefer to swap out the tremolo for a more modern system on the bridge, but I prefer to keep everything stock. One thing I'll mention is how well this guitar stays in tune without the need of a locking nut or tremolo system. If you're a lover of American made Fenders like I am, then I guarantee that the American Pro II Stratocaster won't be a disappointment.

Off the wall sold as "new"

I specifically requested and was assured over the phone I would get an "absolutely new & not off-the-wall" model, but from the scratches on the wrap over the guard and back, smudges, and minor scratches/dents, it's pretty obvious it was used. Unhappy with the flaky, chipped finish.

Through chance and circumstance I was able to purchase this Stratocaster. I've owned a few Strats over the years and this far above any of those. It plays like it's a well worn instrument but not beat up. A truly fine guitar.

What a guitar. I love the Les Paul sound, but find them less playable than the Strat, so I decided to go top shelf and make this the last electric I buy. I'm already glad that I did. The craftsmanship is apparent, the sound is amazing, and it just… it feels less like a guitar than an extension of yourself.

I've been a Gibson/PRS guy for 30 years. I got used to those fatter necks, and could never connect with anything Fender because of the neck. But I got saw this on a scratch and dent sale in Richmond VA. I loved the color, and I've always loved the Strat sound, so I gave it whirl. It's the first Fender that's really spoken to me. The Deep C neck solidified it for me. I love the sound, playability, and everything about it really. The blemish was minor, but the deal was unbeatable. I traded in my PRS S2 McCarty 594, and I can't put down my new strat - which I named Essie, after my Grandmother's sister who died young. The push-push is a really nice addition as well, basically giving you 7 pickup sounds to choose from. That was important to me, because my PRS had split coil humbuckers, making it a "do it all" machine. It never really got those single coil sounds quite right though, and I'm really enjoying this as something new/different than anything I've had before.

This American Professional II stratocaster has everything you need in a strat. A classic look, with a 9 inch radius, beautiful hardware and finish, kind of expensive but affordable at the same time (it's not a 5k custom shop). This could be the guitar you keep as a main for the rest of your life!. Great job Fender!

Sometimes the mid level guitars get it perfect. This model is no exception. Perfect top to bottom. I swapped the pickups for the new SD cradle stock '63's, which took it to another sonic level. All in all it it simply wonderful
