Description
The Electro-Harmonix XO Micro POG polyphonic octave generator effects pedal offers thick, polyphonic octave sounds in a small package. Guitarists and bassists alike will love dialing in the perfect blend of dry signal and octave effects using the XO Micro POG's intuitive controls. With separate knobs for sub-octave, octave up and dry levels, you'll have full control over your tone. The XO Micro POG's super fast tracking ensures a glitch-free experience, even when playing complex chords. Small in size but big in sound, the XO Micro POG pedal is a perfect addition to any pedalboard.
Add Shimmering Octaves to Your Tone
The XO Micro POG polyphonic octave generator effects pedal lets you add an octave above or below your dry signal. Turn the Octave knob to blend in an upper octave and emulate the sound of a 12-string guitar or create organ-like tones. The Sub Octave knob adds a lower octave, creating a thicker tone for guitar and a massive sound for bass. With both knobs engaged, you'll get a fuller, synth-like tone. The Dry knob controls the amount of uneffected signal, allowing you to create the perfect blend of dry tone and octave effects.
Fast, Glitch-Free Tracking
Some octave pedals can produce glitchy, artificial-sounding effects, especially when playing complex chords. The XO Micro POG uses sophisticated tracking technology to ensure seamless polyphony no matter what you play. Chords ring out clearly with no dropped notes or glitches. Solos and lead lines are enhanced, not interrupted, by the XO Micro POG's octave effects.
Compact Yet Powerful
Despite its small size, the XO Micro POG packs a punch. It produces thick, lush octave sounds comparable to much larger units. The compact, rugged enclosure is ideal for any pedalboard, with top-mounted jacks that save space. Powered by an included EHX 9.6DC adapter, the XO Micro POG is built to handle the rigors of stage and studio use while taking up minimal space on your board.
Tweak Your Tone
With just three knobs, the Micro POG makes it easy to shape your tone. Rolling off the Dry knob introduces more of the effect, while pulling it back provides a more subtle octave enhancement. The Octave and Sub Octave knobs work in tandem, with the Octave adding shimmer and the Sub Octave providing girth. Adjust the levels to create the perfect blend of octaves and dry signal.

Awesome pedal
This thing is incredible! It is very user friendly because the controls are simple and responsive. It allows you to produce crazy sounds that are also usable for a wide array of styles. Another great feature is the two outputs. They allow you change the sounds of the octaves individually and plug into different amps. This really is a great tool for the creative musician because there are endless possibilities with this and other effects, just experiment with what combinations work. Overall this is a great buy and perfect to explore a realm of new sounds and create some completely unique ones on your own.

Sounds too digital / synthetic for regular use
Dry signal integrity is good but as soon as you bring in the octave up or down, the sound becomes very synthetic, it takes all the punch out of the guitar. I don't think it sounds good with open or barre chords, the most you can get away with is a power chord. If you want to make video game music this could be cool, or for some limited effects when you are recording. It sounds like a synthesizer or an organ. It has a very good buffered bypass if you're worried about that. I tried it clean and with some OD and fuzz and I don't think it enhances the tone, it is much more of a special effect than anything, and its too expensive to be so limited. Gets 2 stars because EHX is quality and doesn't deserve 1.

I use this mainly for home practice and small personal venues when I play with friends and family. Adds a deep crunch to my saxophone sound that I really like. Planning on adding some more effects from Electro Harmonix.
Very good tracking

I use this on my pedal board for performances and home use, it tracks multiple strings really well! I enjoy that you can blend your dry tone with the effect. The down side is that it never really leaves the "organ" sound. Over all I would recommend
Killer Pedal!

This thing is awesome. Go from adding low end and sounding like a bass to sounding like an organ with a few turns of the nobs.
It does everything I expected and more!

Since we've eliminated getting out I've been practicing for 4 to 6 hours during the day, when the sun starts to set and I relax with a beverage and such the Pog livens up my fun time. It makes the stuff I worked on all day sound a little sweeter!
