Great for big bodied guitars
I basically needed a guitar case for my B. C. Rich bich and this is the only case I could find that it would fit in. I'm not much of a coffin guy, but the quality is great, and the compartments are really handy. It is heavier than most, but I'm a big guy, so it's not really an issue for me.

Does what it's supposed to, with a couple of concerns
First off, this case is HUGE. I knew it would be given that the whole bottom portion is an accessories compartment, but I didn't really look at the measurements so I didn't realize just how big until it showed up. I got this for an Explorer. It fits well, no wiggle room on the sides, but it is slanted a little and sits somewhat awkwardly on the neck rest. Not a huge deal. There is a LOT of extra room at the headstock end, but I don't know that that really matters other than just meaning the case is a little longer than it needs to be for an Explorer. Honestly, if you're looking specifically for an Explorer case, I would get something different because you can get one that fits that is not as HUGE as this case. I decided to go with this case over one specifically for an Explorer because I wanted the option of being able to use it for other big guitars if I need to. I tried my Dean V 79 in it and believe it or not, the case is actually a little large for the V, it has room width-wise at the bottom of the V, but not a whole lot. The V definitely uses more of the headstock space and "looks" better in the case, like there's not all this empty room. Right now I have the V in a Gator Extreme case with the removable padded blocks and it's definitely a better use of space in my opinion, and the Gator case seems so much smaller and easier to handle. So basically, if you just want a versatile case for large guitars, this Coffin Case (or the Gator if you can find it) is just fine. Now for the two main complaints/concerns about this case: 1. This case has a flat surface underneath the guitar, no "ramp" or anything in the padding, so you have a gap under the guitar -- it rests on its bottom portion and the neck. That seems dangerous to me, like if someone were to put something on the case while it was lying flat, all that pressure would be put right on your neck joint. Like the other Coffin Cases, you get a little pillow, so I am going to use mine under the neck joint. 2. Even without using the pillow, this case feels VERY shallow, to the point that the lid rests on the top of the guitar well before it's closed, you have to press the top down a good bit on the guitar to get it to close. In my situation, it was much more noticeable on the V than the Explorer. My Explorer is an unbranded copy so I am going to keep that one in this Coffin Case because I honestly don't know if I trust it with my V given the issue with the pressure on the neck joint. In conclusion, it doesn't seem like a bad case, but it's a little pricey and it's so freaking big that if I knew then what I know now I probably would have gone with either another Gator Extreme or a smaller case designed for the Explorer. But like I said, this one is versatile and I do have my eye on either an ML or a Razorback and this Coffin will fit both of those, so I am going to keep it. I would give it 3.5 stars but I can only do 3 or 4 so I will go with 3 because for the price it could be a little deeper and have some ramp padding or something underneath the body of the guitar.

This has to be my favorite guitar case. I was looking for a hardshell case for my BC Rich Draco. It fits perfectly. 5 star Thank you. #Sweepstakes

Overall recommended case for anything that won't fit in something more traditional. Currently using it for a BC Rich Ironbird and it fits snug but feels safe. The only thing that seems like it could possibly be an issue at some point is the weak feeling handle on such a big/heavy case.
I would buy this product again

This guitar case fits my large guitars in it very well, such as a dean ml which I otherwise wouldn't be able to get a case for because it is left handed and it fits amazingly
BC Rich Warlock Bronze series with Widow Headstock

1) This case is way too big for my BC Rich Warlock. Plus the case does NOT support the neck of this guitar. What I mean is the top of the headstock (the 2 points on top of the headstock) rests on the inside of the case instead being supported by the neck support inside this case. 2) I've seen better built cases. And I've seen worse cases for the money. This case I would give it 3 and a half stars out of 5 stars.

I've seen a lot of the reviews saying that it was really big and I myself am a little on the shorter side and am not too strong but i love this case and have both a bass and guitar and only wanna get one case for which I can use for both. Is it worth getting this one?? Or should I just get the coffin case that's for basses and use it for my guitar as well? Which is better?
