Charvel

collapse expand iconDescription

The Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH FR E is an electric guitar that delivers scorching tone and grin-inducing playability. Its alder body and bolt-on maple neck—reinforced with graphite rods—provide a rock-solid foundation for fast lead work and position shifts. The neck's speed profile and rolled fingerboard edges give this axe a broken-in feel suited for marathon practice sessions.

Seymour Duncan Humbuckers: High-Gain Sonic Flamethrowers

Direct-mounted Seymour Duncan JB and '59 humbucking pickups unleash a torrent of overdriven rock tones with harmonic richness to spare. Coil splitting via a push-pull volume pot provides spanky single-coil sounds, while a no-load tone control offers unimpeded signal transparency.

Floyd Rose Double-Locking Tremolo: Pitch-Perfect Dives and Warbles

The Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo enables radical pitch bends, fluttering textures, and rumbling dive bombs without sacrificing tuning stability. This recessed bridge partners with a locking nut to keep each string firmly in place as you wring every last drop of expression from your playing.

Fast Neck and Compound-Radius Fingerboard

The San Dimas speed neck profile and 12"–16" compound-radius ebony fingerboard were tailor-made for fleet-fingered lead work. Jumbo frets and white dot inlays provide visual references on a dark fingerboard, while a truss rod spoke wheel at the heel simplifies neck adjustments.

Stylish and Road-Ready

This axe's satin finish options, black hardware and aggressive Fender Stratocaster-style headstock give it a stylish yet purposeful vibe. An optional Charvel gig bag or hardshell case (sold separately) allows you to take your new favorite guitar wherever inspiration may lead you.

I've the Miami Blue for about one year no issues. This guitar feels exactly like a classic Strat feels in your arms, in case you are wondering. I'm not a fan of the screw-on FloydRose and I am used to the original, but this one does the job just fine and it's just as stable.

  • Great guitar. Needs setup/neck shim before you play.

Love everything about this guitar. I was worried about the neck being too different for me, since I'm used to Les Paul and Tele necks, but it feels great. The metallic green is gorgeous in person. The only issue I had (and easily resolved) is the neck seriously needed to be shimmed. I usually wait a week or so before taking a new guitar for setup so I can have some time to plug in and enjoy the new purchase. But, the action gets VERY high up the neck and makes it less enjoyable to play, so, took in for setup/shim next day (without having a chance to run it through an amp). Simple enough fix, and they said the neck shim would be included in cost of setup. I'm just a bit disappointed I have to wait a week or two before really playing it. This is my third Made in Mexico purchase. Each one was a great value and quality.
