Open Box Voodoo Lab Pedal Power ISO-5 Power Supply Level 2 197881297251

Description
Pedal Power ISO-5 includes a high-current output which will properly power modern digital power-hungry effects like those from Eventide, Line 6, and TC Electronic. The power supply also has a dedicated 18V output for those guitar pedals that need the higher voltage for extra headroom.
Designed to meet the needs of professional users, Voodoo Lab Pedal Power ISO-5 will provide clean, consistent power, even with the poor AC line conditions often found on stage. Its completely isolated output sections eliminate ground loops, hum, and unwanted interactions between effects, resulting in lower noise and noticeably improved tone.

9-volt clean power
I got tired of using several wall warts on my guitar effects, so I decided to get a power supply for my effects. I went on-line shopping and saw this model and read the description. I said to myself, this is it. If you own an cheap or expensive guitar, vintage tube amp, and/or effects, don't compromise. Buy this so that your sound comes thru sounding better. Many guitar players complain their guitar/effects/amp sounds terrible. Why? Because they don't use or invest on clean power. Buy this and you will love to play again and again.

THE 2 STAR REVIEWER WAS USING THE DEVICE INCORRECTLY.

The person reviewing with two stars does not understand that you cannot power 30 pedals with this and was misusing the it. User error does not merit a negative review thus invalidating it. Some people here were mentioning that they had no use for the 12 V and 18 V outputs. Some 9 V pedals, especially overdrive in distortions, can accept 18 V or 12 V. This usually increases headroom and output. The information could be found in the manufacturers website, device instruction manual or on the unit itself. You must make sure before hand because you can cook your pedal.

I spent years powering my board with a daisy chain and finally upgrading has been like I've actually grown up to a big boy.
Voo Doo Labs gear never lets me down

I've been using Voo Doo Labs pedal power supplies for years and years. I've never had an issue with the hundreds of shows my pedal boards see... withstanding all the rain, cold, or heat from those outdoor shows, and the drinks sloshing on the board from the crowd at the clubs. I trust they keep the voltages regulated and keep my pedals sounding their best. I don't care for those toyish power supplies that some of the pedal power units come with, so it's always been a must to be able to use a standar IEC power cable, so that's another plus. Again, great gear with no issues, so I'll keep buying them as I expand or build new pedal boards.
Perfect for a small to medium sized board

Situation: Perfect for a small pedalboard. I use under a Temple Audio Solo 18. You could go the route of getting a pedal plate for the underside portion, or even purchase the dedicated brackets and create more space that way. As for the power supply features: it runs an IEC standard 3 prong, 5 slots (1x 18v for high headroom pedals,) and is light weight. Isolated means it's noise reducing, but even if you Daisy chain two pedals together, you're in no way generating any noticable noise. Perfect for potentially 5 to 8 pedals - tops, but only if you know you current draw for each pedal.
Works as it should. No issues for me

Works as it should. I needed something that could power 12v and can handle some pedals that draw more power. This handles that perfectly. The only thing I wish is that it came with more cables for more pedals. You can buy them though so no big deal

If I use 5 pedals , each 9v , will I have to daisy chain at least one of them since there are only 4 inputs for the 9 volt ?
You will need to do something. I don't recommend a daisy chain for something you plug in. There are larger units available.submitted5 years ago

I would want to set this up in my music room - not really use it for gigs. Is there an on/off switch? Or, do you have to unplug it every time you're finished playing? Thanks.
It would have to be unplugged.submitted6 years ago
