This China Cymbal has an aggressive, brash attack with a complex spread. Trashy sound with an explosive response and long sustain.

Meinl's Byzance Traditional finish cymbals are handmade in Turkey using the traditional B20 bronze alloy. The profile of the cymbal is hand-hammered into shape. They are also lathed by hand. All this handwork goes into making a true musical instrument. These china cymbals have a nice dark character with an explosive attack and a long decay. Good for Latin, jazz, rock, pop and country . . . a good all around cymbal.

i just got this cymbal, and this thing is great. it is the perfect china cymbal for metal, punk, hard rock, etc. it has a nice dark trashiness, but it is accompanied by a nice tone. the different sound characteristics blend together into a great sound, and ive never heard a cymbal quite like it. when in the mix with drums, it is not that loud, but its unique tone provides a nice cut which is, like i said, very unique and different from any other cymbal. also when in the mix, it has a noticeable quickness to it. this cymbal works great when playing music by bands like A Day to Remember, Asking Alexandria, Pierce the Veil, etc. i highly recommend this cymbal, its worth every penny

This cymbal absolutely sucks! I got the 16" on Christmas 2010 and I completely hate it! It sounds like your throwing a rock at an old trash can. It has way too much overtone. Im switching to a Sabian AA Fast Chinese 18" which I recommend to everyone. They should really stop making this cymbal cause it sucks.
