Exploring the Tom DeLonge Starcaster | Artist Signature Series | Fender

Description
The Fender Tom DeLonge Starcaster electric guitar embodies bold design and riff-driven power, offering a sonic arsenal crafted for both precision and impact. This offset semihollow model is tailored to deliver articulate cleans and edge-of-breakup crunch while preserving natural resonance and tonal depth. Featuring a Seymour Duncan SH-5 Duncan Custom humbucker and a treble-bleed circuit, it captures dynamic textures with clarity across the tonal spectrum. The guitar's semihollow construction adds warmth and dimension, while its sleek aesthetics reflect DeLonge's unmistakable style. Whether you're chasing chunky rhythms or melodic lead tones, this Starcaster is built to deliver with impeccable response and playability.
Turbocharged Tone From Seymour Duncan SH-5 Humbucker
At the core of this guitar's powerful voice lies the Seymour Duncan SH-5 Duncan Custom humbucker. This pickup offers a bold midrange growl, perfect for driving rhythm parts and commanding lead tones. The SH-5's P.A.F. influenced design balances high output with tonal clarity, ensuring solos cut through dense mixes without losing articulation. Its distinct high end enhances melodic play, while the potent midrange delivers impactful distortion for syncopated riffs. Whether dialed into high-gain settings or shimmering cleans, this pickup provides the tonal versatility to match your creative vision with unmatched intensity.
Treble-Bleed Circuit Preserves High-End Clarity
The Fender Starcaster features a treble-bleed circuit that maintains high-end shimmer when adjusting volume levels. Unlike standard setups where rolling back the volume can result in tonal loss, this circuit ensures upper frequencies remain intact, delivering glassy cleans and dynamic crunch with consistent clarity. Inspired by classic modifications favored by 1960s players, it adds flexibility to the instrument's master volume control. This design, preferred by Tom DeLonge, allows players to tame amp output without compromising note definition, ensuring every tonal adjustment retains its brilliance and punch.
Effortless Playability With Modern C Neck Profile
The guitar's modern C-shaped neck profile is engineered for comfort, providing an ergonomic grip that caters to extended play sessions. Finished in satin urethane, the maple neck allows smooth hand movement along its surface, reducing friction during intricate runs or chord transitions. The semihollow construction further enhances playability, offering a lightweight feel that minimizes fatigue. Paired with a rosewood fingerboard and jumbo frets, this neck design ensures precise note articulation and effortless bending. Whether playing rhythm or lead, this setup fosters fluid performance across the instrument's entire range.
Durable Build for Long-Term Reliability
Designed with a focus on durability, the Fender Starcaster combines premium materials and expert craftsmanship for consistent performance. Its semihollow body construction delivers balanced resonance while maintaining structural integrity. Nickel and chrome hardware resists wear, and the synthetic bone nut enhances tuning stability during rigorous playing. A 6-saddle bridge ensures precise intonation, while the offset body design provides a striking aesthetic that complements its robust build. Engineered for gigging musicians and studio professionals alike, this guitar stands as a reliable tool for creative expression.
Signature Style Built for Creative Expression
The Fender Tom DeLonge Starcaster electric guitar embodies the tonal power and unique design that DeLonge fans crave. From its Seymour Duncan humbucker to its treble-bleed circuit, this guitar delivers precision and clarity in every note. Whether in the studio or on stage, the Starcaster offers players a distinct voice with unmatched playability and durability.

This guitar is just fun. Fun to play, fun vibe, and it sounds great. It does one thing but it does it perfectly! The fit and finish are excellent. only thing I found were a few little bumps around the finish. Seems like dust or tiny specks of pain that got caught under the finish.
Awesome punk rock machine!

I purchased the shoreline gold and it looks fantastic in person, extremely classy looking. It plays insanely well, the fretboard feels great! I prefer it over his Stratocaster which I also really enjoy playing, but I personally pick this one up more. Highly recommend!
I would buy this product again

This guitar feels great, and plays very good. I do not need switches and a bunch of knobs. One humbucker and one volume knob. The Custom Seymour Duncan SH-5 sounds great clean and with distortion. I love the paint job on it. I have the shell pink. The only down side is it does not come with a gig bag.
i'd buy another!!!

definitely better than the TD strat, has locking tuners which is a huge plus, volume knob is better, the pickups are louder and cleaner, love the satin feel. a downside is just the gloss on the guitar and no case

Is there a Hard Shell Case for his Starcaster?
Unfortunately, no. Thoi is new and Fender has no case as of yet. It's an odd shape. It looks like it would fit a 335 case but I can't say without testing.submitteda year ago
