Hear the NEW EVH® Wolfgang® Standard in Gold Sparkle

Description
Dual EVH Wolfgang humbucking pickups mounted directly to the body increase vibration transfer, resulting in sustain for days on end. Two black speed control knobs have been dialed in to Van Halen's exacting specifications—the smooth-feeling 500k pots make it easy to find a unique sound while retaining the crisp high-end sparkle of the Wolfgang pickups. The EVH-branded Floyd Rose Special bridge and R2 locking nut consistently keep the guitar in tune through the deepest whammy dives and horse whinnies.

I ended up sending the first one back due to a crack in the back of the body. The second one came in with an obnoxious hum that I had to have fixed. Although I decided to keep this one, I would probably not buy another EVH.

If you looking not to sound like EVH it still a good guitar. Good guitar, with tone and feel. for Blues, rock and country. The tail piece is ok, wish Evh made a stop tail piece. Came out the box in tune and ready to go. Neck feels silky smooth.

This is a very good guitar. Solid build, good tone, stays in tune, feels good in my hands and looks good too. Very versatile, sounds good clean and with high gain. However, It will need to be setup properly to be played and gig ready. I had to adjust the tremolo bridge tension to level the bridge angle and set the height (it was too forward and the action was too high). I had to adjust the pickup height for the neck pickup (was too high and distorting playing clean). I had to adjust the tension on the neck to fix some fret buzz (very fixable). Then I adjusted the fine tuners so they are workable when locking the nut. If you can't do it yourself I recommend getting it setup by a good luthier (you will love it afterwards I guarantee it). Mine was a open box item so you may be lucky and get one that is perfectly setup.

Great guitar for the money and definitely as good if not better than more expensive guitars that I've played.

I'm 17 years old, I've been playing for a couple years. Did a lot of effort into getting the right guitar for around 600 dollars. Ordered this one because it looked the best, came to me in 2 days and I opened it up and immediately fell in love. People may be wondering if it feels solid since the picture makes it look like a toy, it is very solid and has some girth to it I was impressed. The only thing I don't like is the strings are really annoying to change and you have to have all these different Allan wrenches that come with it. The strings it came with needed stretched a lot before it could hold tune but now that they are stretched I can't put this guitar down
