Cordoba

collapse expand iconDescription

Cordoba brings the Fusion Orchestra CE, a revolutionary nylon-string acoustic-electric guitar that blends classic Spanish design with modern sensibilities. Cordoba's master luthiers have crafted an instrument with a solid Canadian cedar top and rosewood back and sides, producing a robust yet balanced tone with warmth and clarity. The Fusion Orchestra CE's slim mahogany neck and 16" radius ebony fingerboard provide the fast feel and playability of a steel-string guitar, allowing nylon-string players to solo beyond the 10th fret with ease.

Onboard Electronics for Natural Tone

The Fusion Orchestra CE comes equipped with Cordoba's Fishman Presys Blend pickup system, which captures the nuances of your playing for natural-sounding tone when plugged in. An onboard tuner ensures you always sound your best, whether on stage or recording in the studio. The Presys Blend system gives you control over volume, EQ and the blend between the under-saddle pickup and soundboard transducer, allowing you to shape your tone to suit any musical situation.

Premium Materials and Timeless Design

While affordably priced, the Fusion Orchestra CE does not sacrifice premium, hand-selected tonewoods. The solid Canadian cedar top provides a robust yet balanced tone, while the rosewood back and sides add warmth and clarity. The neck is solid mahogany, maximizing energy transfer to the soundboard. An ebony fingerboard and bridge complete the look. A hand-inlaid wooden rosette, maple binding and high-gloss polyurethane finish give the Fusion Orchestra CE an appearance as stunning as its tone.

Crossover Appeal for Today's Guitarist

The Cordoba Fusion Orchestra CE is designed for today's guitarist. With its blend of classic and modern design, this nylon-string acoustic-electric guitar appeals to players of all genres. Nylon-string players will appreciate its traditional materials and construction. Steel-string players will love its fast, familiar feel. Whether you play classical, rock, jazz or anything in between, the Fusion Orchestra CE delivers the premium tone and playability that today's versatile guitarist demands.

Good sounding guitar

I've been playing guitar for 20+ years and have been looking to get into a nylon string guitar to scratch an itch. I had been looking for a Taylor guitar recently and haven't been able to find one locally due to supply chain issues and pandemic problems. I stumbled onto this model at a local guitar shop and the guitar felt good in my hands and not overly challenging to play like other classical style guitars. I have always been an electric guitar player and my hands are used to a strat-style neck. Playing this guitar was not challenging or fatiguing at all, which is a plus. The guitar has a decent neck profile and the cutaway lends itself to assist you when reaching the higher frets. I could not find any buzzing on this guitar as I was playing it and it has a nice projection when playing it unplugged. The guitar can sound subtle or full, depending on how you want to strum it or pick the strings. Although this guitar isn't a high end guitar, I was quite impressed with how it sounds and how it plays. It has a built-in tuner and it's not difficult to install the battery that comes included with the instrument (you have to pull it out and get it out of its plastic packaging and install it. What I do not like about this guitar is that it lacks proper strap buttons. Although the input jack can be used as a pseudo strap button, there's still a top button missing. This is a huge inconvenience and oversight in the design of this guitar from Cordoba. The second problem with this is the fact that the guitar came with a flimsy bag. for a $900 guitar, I expect a proper hard shell case to be included. Having to pony up an additional $200+ is ridiculous and excessive considering the amount of money I'm already spending on an instrument. By sheer comparison, I bought my son a C5 guitar and it came with a hard shell case from the vendor I obtained it from (Melodee Music). Time will tell on the durability and long term reliability of this guitar.

Plays Great But It Has A Buzz

Nice guitar but the buzz while playing is annoying. I shows up in the PA too. This is the second one after exchanging the first one because of the buzz. The repair guy at Guitar Center could hear it but couldn't pinpoint the cause. I would pass on this guitar. I plan to take it back and find a cleaner sounding crossover guitar.

If you're an acoustic player or a picker, then you can't beat the vibrantly clear sound or the natural way your fingers progress along the fretboard. The sound is warm. The sustain is good. The only drawback that I've found with this guitar is that a straight up, fast strumming can sound fairly muddy. It doesn't seem to be a noticeable problem with strums and picking, just with aggressive strumming. This guitar is in it's 4th year. I don't think that it's going anywhere.

I would buy this guitar again. Thought I was going to end up with a Taylor 214 CEN but this guitar's sound blew the Taylor away. Be careful though, the top and it's finish are easily disfigured.

My son was thrilled with the guitar. His guitar teacher also praised the guitar and its quality. My son loves that it has a built in tuner and can connect to an amp. His teacher talked about the great quality, look and the crisp clean sound. Helped my son move to the next level in his guitar playing.

  • do not buy Cordoba thin body guitars

Cordoba does NOT stand behind their craftsmanship. I have a thin body cutaway which developed a boom and buzz with the low A note. Instrument is unplayable. Cordoba said they could not help with repairs, even if I paid. They & luthiers cannot access the inside because it's so thin.

  • Surpassed my expectations.

I could not possibly be any happier with my purchase. This guitar absolutely rocks! the tone is Marvelous, the volume that comes out is unmatched actually. Louder than my C10, the sweetness of the sound is incredible. for my fingers the fingerboard is the perfect size. I cannot think of a more playable classical guitar!

Good nylon string guitar for those used to playing a regular acoustic. Nice finish with a nice cedar top. Plays well. Sounds good unplugged and projects better than you'd expect. The pickup is good too. The built-in tuner is good to have. The only minuses are no dots or inlays on the top of the fret board and no upper strap button.
