Roland FP-30X - So Good it just might be your Forever Piano!

Description
The Roland FP-30X is the latest generation of Roland's award-winning FP series digital pianos. Powered by Roland's SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine and 256-voice polyphony, the FP-30X provides an refined acoustic grand piano playing experience whether at home, onstage or in the studio. Your fingers will appreciate the sumptuous touch of Roland's PHA-4 Standard keyboard with Progressive Hammer Action and Ivory Feel keys. The FP-30X's onboard speaker system fills the room with a rich, powerful sound ideal for home playing and intimate live performances. Enhance your music with curated sounds from Roland's flagship instruments and shape them to perfection with the built-in effects engine. Generous connectivity with audio and MIDI via Bluetooth and USB allows for wireless streaming to and from your smart device and integration with your computer-based DAW setup. When quality and affordability are equally important, the FP-30X is the ideal choice.
Authentic Touch and Tone
The PHA-4 Standard keyboard with hammer action, escapement, and ivory feel keys provides 88 full-size keys and the same touch as a great acoustic piano. Behind the authentic feel is Roland's SuperNATURAL sound engine, capturing all the nuances of an experienced pianist's playing and helping developing pianists cultivate more character and dynamics.
Impressive Sound Wherever You Play
Powerful onboard stereo speakers deliver surprising power and nuance during performance, complementing the sound engine to bring out expression. Connect external powered speakers via dedicated output jacks for more coverage. A dedicated mode optimizes sound for desktop placement. Twin headphone outputs enable silent practice day or night, solo or with a teacher.
A Compact Piano With Big Potential
Portable and professional, the FP-30X's compact footprint and lightweight design allows moving between inspiring locations. It adapts as your technique develops, whether placed on the KSC-70 stand (not included) for upright playing or connected to the KPD-70 three-pedal unit (not included) or damper pedal for added expression.
Learn Faster With Connectivity
Advanced connectivity keeps you focused on long-term learning. Use Bluetooth audio to stream music through the piano speakers or headphones, play along with artists or follow online piano lessons. Use Bluetooth MIDI to connect to composition apps like Roland's Zenbeats or GarageBand. Connect to the Roland Piano App app to automatically record and playback practice. USB audio/MIDI connectivity allows interfacing with computers and recording in production software.

I really love this digital piano. The keys feel amazing, almost better than my acoustic piano. The sound is very nice, and all the tones are all very good. This piano is very high quality, and is worth the price. I wish I had found this sooner.
Roland quality once again......

This is my second Roland. The first [Juno 106] was 40 years ago. Time worp forward....Work,marriage , kids, college loans, retirement . I made the decision to take piano lessons again and buy another well made keyboard. The weighted keys, touch/feel of the keys and the rich round full sound of this keyboard gave me pause to spend on this product. I'm very familiar with music having played in the Orchestra as a child. Both of our children are Classical piano players...hince I've developed a taste for quality tones and pianos/keyboards. I've been sold on Roland keyboards. My favorite so far that I've played. Thanks....JL

DEFECT: when plugging in phone or any stuff device, it more than halves the output signal, while also adding distortion to it. I think is just something they missed at the factory. Otherwise, it's great for practice at home. I took it to a gig, and it's incredibly terrible to navigate in that environment, while also not being able to immediately pair with my iPad Air 2 (iOS 15.6) - later achieving success after 45 minutes of filling around with it. (it took 9s to pair with my iPad pro. sigh haha!) The App is the way to go! Although not impressed with the overall sounds, it's definitely a bump up in quality from my Casio CDP-100. (although it had a better Rhodes sound. CONTROVERSY! heheh. I use Ivory & Scarbee on the gigs.)

What is the difference between the Roland FP 30x and the FP 10 other than price? As an older person who once played piano, I'd like to get back into it. Not looking for bells and whistles just a good "Acoustic" piano sound and feel
They have the same engine and keypad. Go with the lower priced FP 10.submitteda year ago

Are the keys weighted? One answer said yes and i e no. Which one is correct?
They are not weighted like an acoustic piano. All manufacturers of "electronic/digital keyboards have their way of simulating it. "Touch Sensitivity". This means the harder you press the louder it gets.submitted2 years ago
