I notice wireless systems are available in various channels. I understand this is so they don't interfere with each other. But what is the benefit of one channel over another? (i.e., Would I be better off going with Channel A or G1?) Any help would be appreciated.
You are correct in your understanding of the purpose behind wireless frequency variation. If you have ever used a radio-controlled car within the vicinity of other radio-controlled cars, you may get an even clearer image. If there is another RC car in your area and it is on the same frequency as your car, you will undoubtedly lose control of your RC car. The same is true with wireless systems. When more than one transmitter is on the same frequency, the receiver gets "confused" and will not be able to differentiate between the signals. This will lead to excessive noise or signal drop out. As for one frequency being more suitable than another, there is no preferred frequency.
