What is a Drum Trigger?

What is a drum trigger?

A drum trigger is a sensor that attaches to a drum. When the drum head is struck, it sends a signal to an electronic drum module, telling the module to trigger the chosen sound for that drum. Essentially, using drum triggers is a way to turn your acoustic drum set into an electronic set for recording or live situations. Note that drum triggers are not microphones and require a drum module.
