Prolonging the Life of My Kit

How can I prolong the life of my drums?

Protecting your drums from damage is very important to the life ofyour drums. Using cases or soft bags is recommended for transporting orstoring, but a simple drum cover is great to have when your drums are set upfor a long period of time. Also try keeping them away from temperature extremesor damp places. The hazard from temperature changes to the drum are shellsexpanding, contracting, cracking or even warping. It helps to change yourheads periodically and of course use good technique when playing.
