Keyboard Amps

Is it necessary that I use an amplifier that is specifically designed for keyboards, or can I use any good sounding amplifier? What are the advantages of using a keyboard amp?

You can play your keyboard through anything that will amplify it, like a guitar or bass amp. The advantage to using a keyboard amp is that it is designed to reproduce the higher frequencies that a keyboard will produce, plus it will handle the extremely wide dynamic range of a keyboard. Other amps will probably sound "flat" or "squashed" in comparison, or they may lack the clarity and tone you want for your keyboard.
