You don't need a luither to install this pickup, you can do it yourself. The pickup sounds very natural.

Outstanding sound, easily installed. I'm very happy especially for the price.

This pickup is very easy to install, and sounds as close to natural as any pickup I've heard. As with all piezo pickups, you should be running it through a preamp with a HPF ( high pass filter) This will eliminate any harsh "woofy" lows and feedback issues. I run my upright through a HPF Technologies preamp then into my Fender Rumble 500. Zero feedback issues with higher volumes.
Good Sound. Bad Feedback

I bought this thing to replace a Fishman BP 100 that came on a laminate bass I purchased for touring. The sound and feedback are much better than the Fishman. But at high volumes, I still get more feedback than I do with my Planet pickup on my carved bass. Most of the gigs I play require me to be loud. This pickup cannot handle that. From what I now understand, wing mounted pickups are better for feedback. I'll probably buy another Planet or try out the K&K.
