The Synergy Dr Z Z Wreck two-channel tube preamp module brings the renowned tone of Dr. Z's legendary Z Wreck amplifier to your modular rig. Designed in collaboration with Dr. Z himself, Mike Zaite, this innovative preamp module incorporates an integrated zero-watt power amp, phase inverter and transformer to authentically capture the Z Wreck's signature sound. With independent Speed and Comfort controls, you'll have an incredible range of touch-sensitive overdrive and chimey clean tones at your fingertips.

Dual Channels of Classic Tone

The Z Wreck module features two identical channels so you can easily switch between pristine cleans and rich, harmonic overdrive. Dedicated tone controls for each channel allow you to shape your tone, from bright and cutting to a warm, vintage-inspired sound. The onboard Cut control provides further tone refinement, allowing you to dial in the perfect amount of high-end sizzle.

Tung-Sol Tubes and Innovative Design

Just like the original Z Wreck amplifier, this preamp module is loaded with premium Tung-Sol 12AX7 preamp tubes, renowned for their articulate midrange and brilliant top end. The module's innovative design incorporates an actual zero-watt power amp, phase inverter and output transformer to capture the full sonic experience of the Z Wreck's power amp section. This groundbreaking feature provides a level of touch sensitivity, bloom and vocal-like sustain that is truly inspiring.

Find Your Sound

With independent Volume, Bass and Treble controls for each channel as well as onboard Speed, Comfort and Cut controls, the Z Wreck module provides an unparalleled level of tonal customization. The Speed control offers increased clarity and attack for a bold, cutting sound. Comfort provides a softer, more compressed feel with rich harmonic complexity. The Cut control allows you to refine the high end for just the right amount of chime or sizzle.

Speed and Comfort

Experience the best of both worlds with the Z Wreck amplifier's unique Speed and Comfort settings, now faithfully recreated in the Synergy Z Wreck module. Designed by amp legends Mike Zaite and Ken Fischer for Brad Paisley, the Speed setting offers a powerful, crisp tone with high transformer voltage (330V) for those punchy, articulate notes. On the other hand, the Comfort setting, with its slightly lower voltage (300V), delivers a smooth, warm sound with a gentle swell, perfect for a more laid-back vibe. Brad Paisley loved both settings so much that the Comfort/Speed switch was born, giving you instant access to these versatile tones at the flick of a switch. Whether you're chasing sharp precision or mellow warmth, the Synergy Z Wreck module brings this legendary flexibility right to your fingertips.

Modular Versatility

As part of the Synergy modular preamp system, the Z Wreck module pairs with any compatible power amp module for an incredibly versatile rig. Use it with a Class A power amp for a classic rock vibe or a modern high-gain module for a more aggressive metal tone. The possibilities are endless. If touch-sensitive overdrive and shimmering cleans are your thing, the Synergy Dr Z Z Wreck two-hannel tube preamp module delivers the goods.
