Great desk!
I've had the desk for about a week now and I really don't have any complaints other than I wish that it had a keyboard tray that slid out. I've been wanting a desk with rack mounts directly in front of it for a long time to put my audio interface, compressor, and console power supply so it's within arms reach because I'm a lazy. As other reviews have mentioned, the boxes were fairly tattered during the shipping process. You could tell that the shipping packing straps were used as a grip to move the boxes, which ate through and tore the cardboard down to the desk pieces. I was expecting it to be a lot worse that what it was but I only have one fairly small blemish on the desktop corner area that I should be able to sand down and put some cherry stain over. I put the desk together by myself without much hassle, although it would have been much easier with 2 people. I definitely recommend using an electric drill, especially when you have to drill several screws into the bottom of the desk. The length of the desk (facing the desk to the back of it) is a bit more than I thought but that's not really a bad thing, especially if you have cats that like to lay on the desk while you work. If you put your computer monitor at the very back of the top platform it's a little difficult to clearly see text the monitor and it does sit up a little high, but it's worth it for the rack space and an easy solution is to just tilt your monitor down. The top platform also provides a perfect height for my monitors to be at ear level how I have my chair seated. I find that there's plenty of leg room and space for me to cross my legs under the desk. I highly recommend doing some cable management before setting this up and allow for plenty of room to move the desk to work behind it when needed. I use a PC computer tower and it fits perfectly underneath the back of it it just about an inch under the back plate that goes down the desk. Would get 5 stars if it weren't for shipping.

Great desk but...
when the I received the packages it seemed as though no special care was taken to ship both boxes. There was holes, the plastic bands cut through them and I could tell a forklift was used at one point. When I opened them up I was surprised that no real physical damage was done to any of the parts. What I did find while I was assembling it was a couple of minor blemishes and factory defects. The hardware that is suppose to tighten up the top shelf didn't really get tight and the caps that suppose to attach to it to cover up the screws doesn't go on. I can live with the minor defects, I do love the desk, it looks great, the roller casters are really smooth to move or reposition the desk and I was able to put all the gear I had intended to put on, but for what I paid for it should have been a better quality product from the start.

They had to ship twice & even then the second one that came in still had a dent/scuffs. Absolutely no care in packaging to account for careless shipping & handling.

Unstable and poorly constructed, can't be moved once built...wheels won't roll on anything short of smooth glass.... mounting and assembly hardware can't even hold the product together when its empty let alone when racked with gear...these products sell convince and portability but deliver neither
Good desk, poor packaging

This is a sturdy, nice-looking desk. Assembly was typical for flat pack furniture. If you have a power screwdriver with phillips and torx bits it's a breeze. Unfortunately mine was delivered with a hole in the box you could fit your hand through and there was visible damage to the contents. Based on the number of other reviews here that report shipping damage, I decided to make do rather than try to get a perfect one. Guitar Center stepped up and offered an accommodation (thanks guys) and I was able to repair the damage with some filler and cherry stain, however getting an undamaged desk would have been preferable obviously. A couple of other, minor, issues: the little plastic caps that hide the cam locks keep popping off. Luckily I have a 3D printer so I made a set of better caps that stay put. And it seems the 'star trek' shape of the top shelf will make access to the topmost rack gear kind of clumsy. This may or may not be an issue depending on your particular gear. Overall it's a very nice desk. If Studio Trends fixes their packaging to improve customer satisfaction I would give it 5 stars.
Solid build with lots of space.

This Studio Desk is great for the price. However, i found that the box had been beat up a bit as the corners had some mild damage. It did not ruin the integrity of the product but there are some areas that are chipped or indented from whatever happened during shipping. Overall i am pretty happy with the purchase. The price point was good and it fits my space perfectly. i would recommend this unit for anyone wanting to create their own studio.
Damaged in shipping, but kept it anyway.

The desk is reasonably good quality for the price. The racks are handy, etc. you'll want a monitor that sits low, and probably want a keyboard shelf underneath.
This is my second desk, so yes I'd have no qualms about buyi

This is in my studio, it's my main production desk, It was easy enough to put together. Only 2 dings out of the box, one corner got dinged in shipping, and the vanity tray (in back) got a little dented up. Not enough to send it back, but be forewarned, you should check the contents on receipt. I like that it has wheels on it, very easy to move. I'm not used to the monitor shelf being so high, but that's probably just me--I'm comparing it to an office type desk. 8 rack spaces is enough for me, I don't use as much outboard gear as I used to. It might be handy to have a second cable routing hole and grommet to keep things a little neater, but cables are going to be everywhere anyway. It happens.
