Good Entry Level 5 String

I bought this bass because of its design. It has the Highway One tuners and not the cheap tuners found on the Squier Affinity Jazz Bass V. The finish looks good on the bass and the neck is perfect in regards to fret leveling, no sharp edges from fret sprout, its straight and plays well. The electronics are a bit weak but I expected that when I bought it. I personally don't care for satin or non finished neck which this one is. It does not look like it was finished at all. I can feel how open the wood feels. I knew up front when I purchased it I would plan to finish the neck in clear Lacquer or Polyurethane. I will also swap out the pickups with a set of Alnico ones. Though the bridge is fine I will swap out the bridge with a Hipshot #5K502C bridge. Once these things are done this bass with give any higher priced Fender a run for the money and I will have one that is tailored specifically to what I like in a bass. I would suggest this bass to anyone considering a 5 string.
