The World's First Wearable for Musicians: Soundbrenner Pulse

Description
How To Wear It
Each Soundbrenner Pulse comes with two bands. The short band is designed for the wrist and can also be worn by children, the long band is designed for the upper arm and the leg. Depending on your instrument and preference you can try out at home which location you prefer and comfortably switch out the bands.
Hardware Controls
You can change the tempo in seconds without taking the smartphone out of your pocket. Simply tap your fingers on the Soundbrenner Pulse and the tempo will follow your taps. It’s magical. You can also turn the wheel left and right to increase or decrease the BPM, and by performing a double tap you can start and pause the metronome at anytime.
Multi-Player Synchronization
To help bands and orchestras play with rock-solid precision, we’ve developed Multi-Player Syncronization. Connect up to five Soundbrenner Pulse metronomes to one smartphone which serves as a master to all devices. In a matter of seconds you can play together, feeling the rhythm in perfect synchronization.
DAW for Mac
Soundbrenner DAW Tools for Mac OS X was created for our advanced users. Just start the app and it will show up as a MIDI Clock destination in your favourite Digital Audio Workstation. It will automatically adjust the tempo of the Soundbrenner to whatever you set in the DAW.
The Soundbrenner Pulse becomes even more powerful when combined with The Metronome by Soundbrenner, our popular mobile app available for iOS and Android. Using the app, you can create and save complex rhythms, organize them into setlists, and even choose custom vibrations and LED colors.

Feel the beat with this thing!
I use this when playing drums. This is probably the best type of metronome to use since you feel the beat instead of looking for a visual or needing to run in ears for a click track. I used this device on our last recording and it was flawless. The engineer said that the beats were sitting in the pocket perfectly. When he showed me the drum tracks in Pro tools you could see every transient on each track hitting in almost perfect time with just enough swing. I like feeling the time and I cannot say enough good things about this. There is a little bit of an adjustment to get used to feeling the beats instead of hearing a click, but it is minimal, maybe 30 minutes or so. I like that you can easily forget about it and just feel the groove. I tried wearing it in a few places and found that the wrist on my right hand worked best for me--like wearing a watch. I did not get the same feel from my bicep as shown in some of the pictures. There is a free app for your smartphone that this connects to and is necessary for you to unlock the true potential of this device. The app allows for custom setlists, odd timing signatures, and different ways to set up the beat feedback on the watch--you can change the colors on the watch, the intensity levels for each pulse, and set the intensity levels for each note in a measure letting you know where the one is. Really helpful for the odd times. Playing live is also really easy and lets you hear the band. In 3 rehearsals the entire set and feel has become much tighter and everything just feels better. The device is pared to your phone and operates thru bluetooth. Honestly, this has been one of the best tools I have purchased in a long time that has actually improved my playing. I would absolutely replace it of it was lost or damaged. If you drum this is something you should seriously consider.

Something worth experiencing!
I am writing from the perspective of a drummer in a cover/bar band. Everytime i have an idea someone else becomes a millionaire... ALL i wanted was a metronome with a blinking light that i could occasionally glance over at to see if i was still in time after guitar solos or exciting parts of certain songs that might cause me to speed up, more importantly I wanted consistancy thruout the night so i could perfectly time my sets... I stumbled upon this amazing item when searching for just that... i thought HOW CONVENIENT plus I CAN WEAR IT?!... IT VIBRATES!? What better product right? From a drummers prospective, its just not practical... There is no convenient way to place it on your body...especially if you want to "FEEL" the vibration...Its got that good vibrbation, its got that sweet sensation.. I was picking up good vibrations... but it wasn't giving me the excitations.. EXAMPLE lets say you wanna be the time keeper in the band. the multi color lights seem sweet because you can have a blue light (or heavy vibrate) on the "1" and for the 2,3, & 4 have a white light or a "lighter vibrate" But once you're thrown off you're looking at maybe the Blue light on the "&" or on the 3, etc... I always thought if its not broke dont fix it, however i wanted to create a perfect video, something with consistent tempo from beginning to end, and even though I have always been told i had perfect tempo I figured this shoud work.. It can bluetooth to a phone or tablet so thats cool You can create a set list (which takes forever) but is still cool to follow.. i found that the magnetic back of the unit sticks well inside my cowbell and i can reference to it whenever necessary. The app for this is great however with the need of having the phone or tablet somewhere within reach so you can switch to the next song plus seeing the 1,2,3,4 I feel like i wont even be needing the device if all i need to do is reference to is a phone or tablet from time to time and see exactly what I want.

The idea is good, but this is an absolute trash product. This is the musical equivalent of buying an avocado slicer when you already have knives Don't waste your time.

I was having a difficult time with hearing my metronome while playing my bass with my amp. I spent a day getting use to it. Now I don't practice without it. This thing is Awesome!
A must for any serious musician

Any serious musician must practice with a metronome, regardless of skill level, regularly. This device lets you feel it and not (just) hear it. The watch and associated app perform different functions and to utilize the full functionality, but once you do, it's fantastic. Recommended!
Standalone works well but other features are a joke

The wearable metronome is a cool idea and I look forward to more products to take a stab at this concept. This unit however is plagued with problems and false promises. If used as a standalone metronome (without connecting via bluetooth) it seems to work well, though for some reason there's no way to tell exactly what BPM it's set to. Unfortunately, the unit fails miserably on all other fronts! When connected via bluetooth to an iphone the vibration was not only horrendously early compared to the audible click in the app, it was also inconsistent from beat to beat! Any serious drummer or professional musician with even a decent sense of timing would notice this. The problem is probably related to the inconsistent nature of bluetooth and the latency being variable based on the signal and distance. It's unbelievable that they went ahead with the release of this product promising these features like syncing to your DAW to use as an alternative to a click, when any kind "sync" is nonexistent/impossible. Trying to use this with a DAW is an absolute joke! Even with the USB connected directly to the phone, the vibration is not in sync at all with the DAW sequencer (it's way delayed) so it's entirely unusable in that regard. Also, setting the different vibration strength levels of each click yields even more inconsistent results! Whoever troubleshooted this in development must not have been a musician or if so must have the saddest sense of time imaginable if they signed off on this as being "perfectly in sync". I wanted this thing to work since there is rarely an innovation in metronomes and it could have been really useful had it not fallen flat so miserably. I do hope that this company or someone else finds a solution and or offers a wired version with accurate sync. Unfortunately we are stuck with dinosaur technologies like wifi and bluetooth where despite any new versions they are still based off of the original design (ala Windows) which wasn't concerned about laten

I am deaf and unable to hear "normal" metronomes . This allows me to keep up with the beat .

I couldn't get this to work at all. I plan on going back to the store to swap this dud out for another. Hopefully that one will be better.

I see these reviews for the Soundbrenner Pulse Wearable Metronome are rather old (2-3 years ago). Have the aforementioned bugs and problems been worked out on the models currently available? I can't stand flashing, clicking, beeping and tweeting (mostly NOT in tune with what I'm playing) of most metronomes which are so distracting that I give up out of frustration. I really need this product to work as advertised. Thanks!
According to the manufacturer, they have update the bugs, yesAs for software concerns, a majority of these have been corrected in the app which connects to the device.
