George Lynch and Mike Soldano unveil the SOLDANO SLO Mini

Description
In 1987, Mike Soldano created the now legendary Super Lead Overdrive 100-watt tube head. The SLO set the standard for modern high-gain amplification and nearly four decades later, is still one of the most coveted amps in history. The SLOs drive channel found it backing up renowned rock guitarists like Mick Mars (Motley Crue), Warren de Martini (Ratt), and Howard Leese (Heart), while the bluesy crunch channel made the SLO the first choice for non-metal stalwarts, such as Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Warren Haynes, Gary Moore and Lou Reed, to name a few.
This ultracompact SLO Mini head delivers searing harmonics, and the perfect balance of gain, sustain and tight touch response that the SLO has become famous for. Whether playing, practicing or recording you’ll want to take this extremely versatile Mini SLO amp everywhere with you. The SLO Mini is loaded with player-friendly features, including Crunch/Overdrive mode switch, Normal/Deep voicing switch and controls for gain, level, 3-band EQ and presence. On the back panel, you’ll find a high-quality effects loop ideal for using your favorite effects. The included 24V universal-voltage power supply means you can take your SLO Mini wherever you travel.

Great amp for the price

Great deal and ease of use. I picked this up after seeing Ola Englund review and demo this amp on his youtube channel. I used it in a live session for a hard rock/metal band and it did not disappoint. I ran it straight through to a 4x12 cab and it was able to keep up with the drums, the 100w marshall stack of the other guitar player, and the 8x10 Ampeg or bass player uses. 5 stars from me on this one!
Great amp for the one thing its made for

Amp turned out loud enough with drums, and for a small gig with PA. Meant for high gain, maybe light crunch with pedals. Footswitch for crunch->OD would be nice. Light enough to fit in a backpack. Sounds great, enough EQ to shape whatever you need with whatever guitar you use.
Awesome amp for sure

This amp is awesome, i see why the regular soldano cabinet costs $4 grand, this amp cranks, loud enough to play drums too i teamed it with a 412 cabinet and also a compact 8inch Randall speaker. For the money this cant be beat plus you will own a genuine soldano granted its not the $4 K version plus this one sounds incredible

I bought this as a backup for travel gigs. In the event that I needed an amp, I could use this to power a cab of any size. It has plenty of volume for such a small form factor. If I wanted to run pedals cleanly, I can run into the effects return, but have no volume control on the amp itself. Overall, it sounds great for the price.

Ola Englund put it best. This is a cool distortion pedal that happens to be an amp also. I hooked it up to my line6 4x12 cabinet and it sounds really good. It gets fizzy with the gain turned all the way up. It has a sweet spot when the gain is at 6 or 7. It sounded really good with my Schecter that has hot pickups. I tried one of my guitars with passives and it just didn't have the bite that the actives did. There's not a lot of low end punch but if you're looking for squealing pinch harmonics and sustain that lasts forever you'll be more than happy. Maybe with some quality v30's or DV77'S the low end will sound better. All in all it's a cool little amp that will be good for practicing. Not sure if I'd gig with it but I think it would probably hold up to a jam session with a drummer that doesn't beat the skins like they owe him/her money.
