Introducing the Sequential Prophet-6

collapse expand iconDescription

The Prophet-6 by Sequential is Dave Smith's tribute to the iconic Prophet-5 polysynth. However, the Prophet-6 is not just a reissue, but instead incorporates modern enhancements to the classic analog signal path. With true voltage-controlled oscillators, filters and amplifiers, the Prophet-6 produces a warm, punchy sound with continuously variable waveshapes for a wide tonal palette. There are also two resonant filters, a 4-pole low-pass and a 2-pole high-pass, per voice.

Built-in Digital Effects Expand Your Sound

The Prophet-6 includes high-quality digital effects to sculpt your sound. There are reverbs, delays, chorus and phase shifter effects with studio-grade, 24-bit resolution. A true bypass maintains the analog signal when the effects are off. There is also an independent distortion effect that is completely analog.

Polyphonic Step Sequencer and Arpeggiator Add Rhythm

The polyphonic step sequencer in the Prophet-6 allows you to create up to 64-step sequences with up to six notes per step. You can make polyphonic sequences with rests and sync the sequencer to an external MIDI clock. The arpeggiator can also be synced to an external MIDI clock. Use these tools to create pulsing rhythmic textures and ostinato patterns.

Perform and Program Easily

With a knob-per-function panel, the Prophet-6 is intuitive to program and perform with instantly. There are 500 factory programs and room for 500 of your own user programs. By toggling off the Preset button, you can enable live panel mode where the sound responds directly to the positions of the knobs and switches. The semi-weighted four-octave keyboard is ideal for any musician looking for an analog polyphonic synth that is both portable and powerful.
