Close your eyes . . .

And imagine what a crash should sound like. Bright, shimmery, explosive come to mind? Well, that describes the AAXplosions perfectly. I own the 17" and the 19" and they are both awesome. The 17" is punchier and has less sustain, while the 19" is just a total beast. Loud as hell, yet very very muscial. Also both are extremely responsive. Tap lightly for a beautiful shimmer or bash them for an all-out explosion. Recommended for everybody

Bright,Cutting�ۡ��_but is it what you�ۡ���re looking for?

I�ۡ���m not a huge fan of the X-Plosion cymbals, however they don�ۡ���t suck...far from it. They�ۡ���re bright, cutting, explosive, & respond with little effort�ۡ��_a cymbal that some might need/want. But if you�ۡ���re looking for something rich with character and/or versatility�ۡ��_then you might want to reconsider. The 18�ۡ�ݕ�_ X-Plosion has bright explosive volume, which is great if you need that type of sound, but it lacks versatility in my opinion. I like volume when I need it, but I also want controlled dynamics�ۡ��_something I feel I get from the AAs. And due to a rebate offer, I briefly owned the 14�ۡ�ݕ�_ model. I was surprised that it lacked volume for an X-Plosion crash. SABIAN�ۡ���s 14�ۡ�ݕ�_ AA thin & AAX studio have more punch & volume in my opinion. But the X-Plosion was bright & glassy with fast decay. Now with everything I�ۡ���ve stated, its all opinion & preference�ۡ��_every drummer�ۡ���s style & �ۡ��̏ear�ۡ�ݕ�_ is different. I hope this review was somewhat helpful for those that are on the fence about these cymbals.

    Sharp, crisp sounding cymbal that cuts through in a good way perfect size and quick shipping. Brilliant finish looks great and really brings out the bright high sound. Loyal Sabian user for years. Tried all the other ones but just keep going back to Sabian. Highly recommend. Will buy again
