Description
Rogue Guitars is proud to introduce the Rocketeer RR100 electric guitar, available exclusively at Guitar Center. The Rocketeer RR100 is a lightweight, double-cutaway electric guitar built for maximum comfort, playability and tonal versatility. Its contoured paulownia body and ultra-thin maple neck allow for quick, effortless soloing up and down the 22-fret fingerboard. The humbucker/dual single-coil pickup configuration with a 5-way switch provides a wide range of tones from rock to blues to jazz. Unleash your creativity with the vintage-style tremolo bridge and whammy bar while die-cast tuners ensure your tone remains true. The Rocketeer RR100 is the perfect guitar for players seeking a mix of comfort, playability and tonal variety.
Lightweight Paulownia Body Maximizes Comfort
The contoured double-cutaway paulownia body provides maximum comfort for long practice or performance sessions. At just 6 pounds, the Rocketeer RR100 won't weigh you down, allowing you to focus on your playing rather than struggling with an overly heavy instrument. The body's contoured edges and deep cutaways provide easy access to all 22 frets so you can fly up and down the neck with speed and precision.
Ultra-Thin Maple Neck Offers Fast, Low-Fret Access
The Rocketeer RR100's ultra-thin maple neck and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard were designed for playability and speed. The slim neck profile allows for quick position changes while the fingerboard's 12" radius and medium jumbo frets make bending and fretting notes a breeze. Access all the way up to the 22nd fret thanks to the contoured body shape for blistering leads and soaring solos.
Versatile Pickup Configuration Provides A Myriad of Tones
The Rocketeer RR100's humbucker/dual single-coil pickup configuration with a 5-way switch offers a wide range of tones from rock to blues to jazz. The bridge humbucker delivers a warm, full tone perfect for rock and metal. The middle and neck single-coil pickups provide the crisp, clear tones ideal for blues, country and jazz. Dial in the perfect tone for your musical needs with the 5-way pickup selector switch.
Vintage Tremolo Bridge and Die-Cast Tuners
Unleash your creativity with the Rocketeer RR100's vintage-style tremolo bridge. The tremolo arm allows for subtle pitch bending effects as well as extreme dive bombs. Die-cast tuners provide exceptional tuning stability even after heavy tremolo use so you stay in tune song after song.

Great beginner guitar.
I'm a long-time guitar teacher and I recommend this guitar to all my students seeking a good quality, first electric guitar. I think I remember 4 students who have all bought these, and none were disappointed. I remember one required a little adjustment of the string height, but that was not difficult at all to do. The other 3 were perfect. The pickups sound pretty good, and the guitar plays well for the money.

I wanted to like this guitar but ended up returning it
Bought this on sale thinking it would be something I could loan out or let people play during jam sessions. But after spending about 2 hours trying to fix the intonation and an annoying buzz on the lower strings between the 10th - 14th frets I gave up (yes I adjusted the truss rod). The intonation was the biggest issue. Even with my strobe tuner and lots of tweaking at the bridge with the saddle lengths, I could never get the basic open chords at the bottom of the neck to play remotely in tune with each other. The string buzz would probably be solvable with some fret work but why bother if the intonation is so far off? You'd think with modern machining the fret spacing and intonation would be a non-issue. Oh and if for some reason you do buy this, you'll want to file down the edge of the frets. They are a tad sharp. Not awful but enough to annoy you. The electronics are actually OK and the humbucker at the bridge packs a decent punch. Personally, it would have made more sense to put the single coil at the bridge for some snap and move the H to the neck or mid but whatever. It sounded nice for a cheap guitar. Oh and the finish was excellent. No glitches, neck had a nice satin feel. Yeah you can see the wire leads off the two single coil pickups in the cavity but that didn't bother me at all (like it does others).

This guitar combines PRS, Stratocaster, and Telecaster

The body of this Rogue Rocketeer electric guitar is similar to a Paul Reed Smith. The body also has contoured angles like a Stratocaster, which makes it more comfortable to play in bed, on the sofa, or standing up. The body has only one volume and one tone, like a Telecaster. The head has 6 inline tuners like a Stratocaster. The guitar nut width is 43 mm, so many guitarists experience less string buzz on their fingernails. The guitar nut is manufactured to accept string size 9 - 42. All in all, the Rogue Rocketeer RR100 is a unique electric guitar. If you play this guitar through a Behringer 20 watt guitar amplifier (it has real spring reverb), it will be loud enough for your home, and loud enough for the Superbowl if you simply set a microphone in front of the amp or insert an instrument cable from the amp's Line Out. I have tested many Stratocaster, Telecaster, and Paul Reed Smith guitars. The Rogue Rocketeer RR100 sounds as good acoustically or plugged in as many higher priced guitars. If I could hire a luthier guitar builder to make an electric guitar for me, I would ask him to copy the Rogue Rocketeer RR100. This guitar combines the best features of Paul Reed Smith, Stratocaster, and Telecaster. I play live venues and am very happy to talk to other guitarists and enquiring minds about my Rogue guitar. I own two Rogue Rocketeer guitars. My RR100 wine burst is as pretty as any guitar I've seen, and so is my RR200 gray burst (with the original white pearloid pickguard). With all the best features of other electric guitars combined into one, I just don't want any other solid body electric guitar. Whoever designed this guitar is a genius.
