Good pedal...

...for the price that is. I got this pedal and have owned it for a year because I can't afford the best. This pedal gets the job done though. I suggest buying these pedals if you are starting the double bass. After a year or two of owning these and practicing double bass will make you LOADS more skilled at double bass because you have to push a little bit to get the speed up. Really good for the price though! A must buy for starting double bass drummers!

Not worth it.

I bought this pedal 4 years ago, out of necessity for double bass. All I can say is: you get what you pay for. Do NOT expect this pedal to perform ANYWAY near the level of an Iron Cobra, Axis, or even a newer model Pearl. This pedal started lagging around 4 months of use. The lag is literally so severe, my left calf is much larger than my right from the sheer amount of muscle use required to operate the slave pedal. Do yourself a favor for the long-run, save up your money and buy SOMETHING, ANYTHING, but this piece of scrap-metal.

I've tried a lot of cheaper double bass pedals but none of them even compare to this pedals speed or feel. This pedal is great for beginners to intermediate players, but for people who need to go extremely fast, the pearl eliminator would be more suitable for you. For this price it is defiantly the best pedal and I would defiantly recommend this pedal to anyone who wants a relatively cheap, fast, and smooth double bass pedal.

The main thing about this pedal is that it gives a really firm kick and the beaters don't slide up and down cause they're loose. I love this pedal. Definitely a good buy.

i got this pedal because my drum teacher uses it and recommends it highly. i would too, but only for beginners. I'm not too good yet, but i don't really think you can get fast speeds with them. they work great for gallops and triplets, but not crazy blasts. overall the hardware is good and smooth. there's also pretty good customization too. overall, probably the best beginning pedal you can get, but not professional grade.

  • great pedal for beginer,or advanced players alike

this pelad is a solid foundation too any kit,no matter what style you play or at what expierence level your at youll find this pedal can be adjusted in minutes too suit your needs and out perform pedals hundreds of dollars more expensive.as a matter of fact my pedal just got back from europe where it toured with a band in the real big fish euorpan adventure.the adjutable locking spring tension is quik to set and forget.making mid set changes effortless.deoaning on the situation it can be used as single pedal as well.the fast powerfull action of the chain drive system allows preccion power to be used with incredible dexterity.the single right hand side can even be played quik enough to out play other full double pedals.people may say the left side is not as fast but you must adjust according too each lef and foots strength and agility, your left and right are drasticaly differnt in both...over all way too good of a pedal for the money is absolutly a great choice for anyone any where!
