To help anyone who's interested in this instrument, if you can't get it to stay in tune, you may be tuning it an octave too low. When I got mine I "tuned it" but the strings were so loose that I was actually an octave lower than what it should be. Once I had an experienced violinist tune it, it stays very well. (Remember to push in on the pegs when tuning so they don't slip)

  • It looks like a good quality violin.

Absolutely a horrendous instrument, it will not hold a tune simply for the time it takes to entirely tune it. The pegs constantly slip.

  • Not sure I'd buy again

I have a Stagg evn x violin. I need to know if the output is mono and balanced or unbalanced. It is 3/8 out into 1/4 at the stagg amp. I have a 10 foot mono cable that works and am looking for a 20 foot cable. I can't find one with these fittings at the cable ends. Would you carry something that would work?
