This package includes the Shure BLX4R rackmountable receiver and a handheld mic transmitter with a Shure SM58 microphone capsule. The SM58 is a cardioid dynamic microphone for vocals.

The BLX4R is a half-rack-sized wireless receiver built into a rugged chassis that mounts into any standard 19" road rack. It features advanced capabilities usually unavailable in wireless systems in this price range.

Shure SM wireless microphones deliver an unparalleled mix of audio quality and rugged dependability that has made them the industry standard in professional sound. They are built to withstand the rigors of regular stage and studio use.

Lives up to Shure legendary standard.

Very long range. Super clear quality. Narrow mic pickup pattern (which is a Godsend to prevent unwanted feedback. Our older Audio Tecnica has blown many a tweeter due to its pickup pattern causing frequent feedback)

Did some research and choose this model because I have the wired Shure sm58 that is great. Was looking forward to having a wireless mic but after hooking it up experienced feedback issues at various locations in the room. Did not have any issues with my wired mic. Returned it.

    We use multiple BLX mics in both indoor & outdoor school performances, and these mics always deliver clear, crisp vocals. I'd recommend using a foam windscreen on each mic. However, it's a must to properly sync the mics (per Shure: all mics sync'd to the same letter "group", but each mic has their own numerical "channel") and purchase different band channels for each set of mic(s).

    It will work. Basically anything that accepts an XLR connection will work with this.

    They are replaceable, but I'm not sure if Shure makes any other models of antennas for this unit.
